Blogs tips for new Bloggers

gurus

I wanted to share a few basic blog tips for bloggers just starting out. I know many bloggers share generic tips and don’t really share what the real deal is so let’s get @ it.

One of  my biggest Blogging tips  is give yourself a break. I don’t think it’s fair to yourself to assess your progress when comparing your site to ones that have been around for a while. The main aspect of blogging besides connecting with some good people is  finding what works and what doesn’t that is what it’s all about. I will help you fast track and share some of the things I do.

The best one is to be yourself. Now I regret saying that because being yourself can and will cost you. I wish I could advise you to come out the gate portraying yourself as some awesome make money guru thought leader and all that because sadly that does work for a minute but after watching literally 1000′s of these people come and go I will SAY BE HONEST and BE YOU. This will allow you to forge tight real friendships with people that will ride with you through thick and thin. The people that are not just associating with you for what they can get out of it, which sadly happens way to often in blogging and LIFE. I don’t think it’s a good idea to share about these realities on your blog like I do, because you can run people off if they catch you wrong. Your not going to change the world or blogging so it’s best to acknowledge these realities but operate in a positive zone.

Feedback: Bloggers don’t like it. They may say they do.They don’t want it or use it so be careful letting your new friend know that you think their theme is ugly etc because you may just get a chance to find a new friend LOL :) I always like to think I’m open to feedback and I do appreciate people letting me know what would make my site better etc. In fact whenever I go on a Social Media Madman rant I often ask people MY FRIENDS if I should tone it down, not use any profanity etc THEY ALWAYS say HELL NO :) One clown did but he’s more into the gaming people to buy his crap products  and thinks me being honest about certain things is harmful I agree but do it anyway.

Speaking of buying stuff. I agree you definitely need your own domain at a minimum but I would be very cautious about buying any crappy ass ebooks and memberships that basically do nothing but make your pockets lighter. I also wanted to tell you something VERY Important.

Blogger who care about people vs bloggers who care about profit.

Let’s be real clear if your whole site and posts are  nothing but a long term scheme to make money , your not a blogger your a salesman. There’s a big difference. I hang with bloggers online and do my business outside of this blog. This blog is not a way to impress you to buy a damn thing, the main purpose of this blog besides free therapy for me and a way to find out what people think is to get you to THINK.

Blogging takes time. I see many new bloggers get frustrated with something that is very natural. You will have good days and bad, you will have posts that do good and ones that suck. You will meet all kinds of people if you don’t quit you will eventually make money.

You will not make money off your blog. The blog is merely a tool to connect with ways to make money. Not the other way around. Bloggers are notorious for wanting clicks but not clicking. When you find someone that you can trust and is supportive of your work you better not take that person for granted. This is one of the aspects of blogging that makes no sense. Bloggers will waste their time promoting blogs where the owners think they have it coming and don’t appreciate it and then they will disregard people that actually can help and support them, doesn’t make much sense but bloggers play all kinds of games that don’t make much sense.

Just prepare yourself for the reality of blogging. I have made many mistakes and could of dealt with the dark side of blogging way better. I advise you to take it for what it is and do whatever you can to look past that and keep working.

ALSO people can see what your doing or not doing. Many bloggers say they do things for others out of the joy of doing it and I can relate to that but if your doing someone totally right and they are doing you wrong your cheating yourself and should move on. If your looking for some cool bloggers that will have your back I have some I can recommend. But just remember most humans are self -centered and last time I checked bloggers were human, hence the reason to really cherish the few people that you come across that are real and concerned about YOU. Blogging is a two way street. I don’t waste my time visiting tons of shitty blogs I know where to go.

NOW my secret weapon

I can’t believe I only wanted to write a few lines because I was going to ask my blogging friends to add their blog tips for new people what they found that worked and what can help someone BYPASS time wasters.

RECAP

1 Get your own domain and a nice looking  theme

2 Be careful who you trust

3 You want clicks start clicking.

All this week I will be sharing exactly how I make money.

Please leave your blog tips in the comment section Thanks

PS to my friends PLEASE add your best tips to help out the NOOBS :)

I’m still a noob :) Believe that

4 Don’t quit. I have seen even the shittiest bloggers make it because they didn’t QUIT.

Blogging builds on itself.

Good luck.

1020 words DAMN my bad ;) Thanks for stopping by

Yo, thanks for writing a “blog tips for newbs” post actually worth reading~

Since you asked, I’ll add:

1. Write the stuff you want to read
2. Realize that a lot of the people who read your blog will be strangers — don’t waste their time, get to the point
3. Have conversations with people if you want to get anywhere

I would say blog as yourself, when you type out your blog post type it as if you are talking to someone even a friend and if you have a tendency to pop in the odd one liner when you talk to them do the same in your blog post, it shows that you are blogging as a real person and not a robot on the path of make me some money from my blog! There is more to blogging than trying to get rich, well I think there is ….. Hmmmm … Yes there is, it’s fun ;)

Tips for new bloggers… ok… ;)

1, Just get going, don’t hang about, have the confidence to start because that’s the hard part.

2, Don’t edit as you write, just write, like Karen said above, imagine your “one person audience” in a chair next to you, your message is for them as you would say it to them, they are reading it as you type. :)

3, Get involved elsewhere, blogs are essentially a part of a massive community, get your blog out there and also get yourself out there on other blogs, find similar topic blogs as your own, use the search engine, Google is your friend in this case… http://blogsearch.google.com

4, Watch your early stats to see what is getting any response, and plan to utilise it. If you need a 3rd party real time stat system, as opposed to googles analytics, use http://statcounter.com it does a good job and I have used it for almost 7 years… I check it daily at some point.

5, DON’T give up! That’s the biggie… ;)

PERSONABILITY.

As Karen pointed out, write as you speak; as if you’re just chatting with friends, ’cause hopefully they will become such.

LISTEN and take notice of those that talk back. Know you’re not a one (wo)man show.

Garner the trust and credibility you deserve and all else falls into place eventually. As John pointed out, you’re not a pro-blogger, yet. Pick up your unique style and you will be a pro in your readers eyes. ;)
