Post topic analysis to rock Alexa’s socks :)

Well Thank God I’m not one of those bloggers that say Alexa and Page Rank don’t matter. But before I get into analyzing various topics that Blow shit up on Alexa I wanted to just say Don’t ever be fooled-this blog stays in the range on Alexa THAT I WANT. I have many times kept this blog hovering right around where no one but my friends see it. Believe what you want and NO I didn’t intentionally ask for a PR 3
Ok now I also noticed some cool new features on Alexa. They expanded the FREE search information, which basically just indicates what keywords bring you traffic but NOW a little more then that. They way I read it,  it’s basically telling you what keywords to target because it includes information about search frequency and many other metrics.

Since I’m NOT a stats freak I just wanted to tip you off to take a closer look at Alexa.
Now I did let my traffic slide recently  but I wanted to share some numbers with you to show what contributed to a post one post dropping this blog over 40K on Alexa in one day. As the pic shows I was slipping and in crybaby mode so I didn’t post and had other things to worry about.

Now here’s the trick and the reason for this post.
Bloggers like post that they are forced to check out and hopefully participate in. Now I didn’t even think about it on that level as I grabbed a post from the drafts that day and added a little bit and hit publish.
See I was trying to take the day OFF and although I have many posts with better reactions this was a nice surprise post even if I had to see one or two blogs added as COOLEST  that  I didn’t agree with LOL
Now your probably thinking man I know John Sullivan’s doesn’t give a DAMN about Alexa and your right, matter of fact your probably thinking I was just going to cut and paste and  KEYWORD Spam this whole post with the keywords I saw  on Alexa, Guess what your right

I was only playing about keyword stuffing I don’t ever do things like that but I will tell you the 3 elements from that 1st Annual Coolest Blogger Contest post that dropped this blog 40 k in one day.

1 It wasn’t about me

2 It wasn’t all serious I think people need a brake sometimes from Einsteins

3 I have good friends

I just wrote a quick lame post my friends did the rest. I only submit my post to one site.

So it seems pretty simple, write a post not about me and invite people to add who and what they think and then let it GO if it was meant to be it will happen and I only wonder why we don’t always do what we can see works

Now what’s weird about Alexa is I wrote 3 posts today and all of them won’t have the effect that one did

Also it’s excellent to know some bloggers that aren’t sacred to hit the RT button.

I was listening to some lame show about how Google will now rank post in search on not only  the amount of friends you have and BUZZ but the quality of your friends it’s at that point I went for a walk and a NICE SMOKE LOL
So if your going to be a friend of mine please keep your utmost quality<< what fucking bullshit LOL
