Ten reasons to be unique in blogging

blogging unique Only after two plus years and seeing thousands of blogs come and go I want to tell you what’s really up and why you should be unique.

1 You are unique. Yes all the good and bad about YOU, there’s never been anyone like you so why blog like everyone else. Add your own personality.

2 The wheel has already been invented. People have set up blogs to make money and then waste massive amounts of time doing everything but that.

3 Be honest. Yes I do often share my ups and downs and the realities of blogging. I could like most bloggers exclude that and would probably benefit from all the FAKE LOVE and be some hero in social media but since I don’t respect most people in social media why play their game.

4 Brake your niche. Man I see people like sheep following a herd of sheep, yeah you may benefit from being accepted by certain people and all that’s cool but there’s like 19 million people writing blogs to connect with potential (VICS) customers. Most of these people that I have reached out to are GOOFS they care about one thing and it’s not YOU.

5 Switch it up. No doubt you never know what I’m going to write about. Yes the nice post do better but sometimes I have to go with reality and speak my peace even at the cost of fake friends etc. I don’t need to impress you or be in the COOL crowd of thought leaders and other lame titles I’m my own man take it or leave it.

6 I curse. I get angry because I’m a real person that cares. It would be much easier to write nice stuff and not really give a damn about anyone but myself WAY easier. I take a risk and make decisions on the fact that I really do care about people. This is something you may want to avoid because it’s often frustrating. I sometimes wish I could reprogram my brain to the ME it’s ALL me BOW DOWN TO ME LOL :)

7 Be personable. To many blogs are stale and I may know the blog and see the picture of the person but who knows anything about them ? I don’t  mean to air all your dirty  laundry but I like to share what’s really going on not a bunch of smoke. This is a risk and like I said it’s much easier to maintain the status quo, write blogging tips, write about ways to do things easier all that is fine but let people see the real you. This has blessed me with some real friends in fact one called me today and right on time. I was actually almost considering going mainstream and being apart of the Tribe the people that are the ones making it <<<So you think

Let’s take a look at that for a minute. I do often keep my blogging and my money making separate. Never have I asked anyone on this blog to buy anything you know why ? Because this blog is not like all the ones that are scheming to fuck u out of some money :) I have recommended MANY ways to make money and they may fall on deaf ears but hey I check my accounts. Also I had some serious debts that I needed to take care of , I’m sort of going through a down time myself but I don’t base my reality on just today. I look back and know where I have had success and where I didn’t.

8 Try to be unique. Meaning add some humor and add something you maybe scared to. Many of the best posts reactions on this blog came from when I took a risk and pressed publish and many posts that I thought would do good just vanished.

9 Write about someone else besides your ass 24/7. Man it makes me sick when a blog is all about that the person. Often the person is boxing themselves in whether they know it or not.

10 Stop trying to game the system, auto tweets and doing slick shit to promote your site BACKFIRES.

I was getting a little bummed with the fact that this blog is truly unique because I’m honest about where I’m at. Often I let petty shit bother me and I need to keep working on that. Instead of looking at the disadvantages of being unique and some  what crazy I’m going to embrace it.

Now tell me one blog that is like this ? One

Thanks think about it and be you. It may seem like a bigger risk then you may be willing to take but it works out in the end which you will see :)

Have any ways your unique ?

Be you reagrdless

Do you think being you regardless of the costs is worth it or do you think I should bitch up and conform :)

Also this is a BLOG written by someone who considers themselves a blogger, maybe your blog is a sales page and your a salesman hey then maintain. All this post is really for is to get you to think about incorporating some uniqueness into your Blog :)

I wanted to say Thanks to all the people that stuck by me through thick and thin everyone Else GET FUCKED :) LOL

Wow! John, this is excellent.

I feel like we just had a phone conversation….like you were actually talking to me….schooling me and the advice is well taken.

I notice that I feel better about myself when I’m just flowing….at times I try to scale back my humor for fear that it may be too racy for some but then I won’t be JUST KISSIE! Yeah, I’m a saint but I’m not perfect.

I laugh, I cry, and I get angry like the next man (or woman) but I gotta be me and I have to realize that my readers/supporters/subscribers will only respect me for that.

John, this was really excellent and funny too! You’re a nut!

You definitely have your own “blogging voice” and that is what keeps me coming back. I do enjoy the variety of your posts. I am still a bit hesitant to stretch outside of the 4 main categories I blog about on Tycoon Blogger, I need to work on that…

just RT’d this :-)

John,
I like how you tell it like it is and tell others to do the same.
I also liked the person’s reflection in the cat’s eyes!
I hate the fact that this post has been viewed 203 times and only 6 of us left comments so far. While I know comments aren’t the end-all, they sure are a lot more fun!
Thanks for inspiring me to continue being myself and throw caution to the wires. I’ll be back.
