Google and real time search

seo search engine optimization Google no doubt knows how to stack the deck in Google’s favor. Their search engine is incredible to say the least. Recently the topic of real time search results has been coming up and from what I seen about how their pages operate and how they make all that money. They are NOT going to lessen and corrupt their search results with some post that anyone can write. Google says relevant and they say don’t sell links but they let money stage the results. Sure I can get on page one for the first spot for Bloggers who love marijuana but it will matter if Google is selling ads and links all around my ranking. You know Google is the biggest link seller in the world right ? But don’t you dare :)

best blog about blogging Google no doubt wants their search results to be relevant but let’s just say they had real time search on a first come first serve basis. So if I write a post about Barack  Obama but  it’s really a post to get people to buy some crap how is that relevant? Unless Google’s going to hire people to watch the results and delete bad ones like they already do it will never work and may be them shooting themselves in the foot. They would have to have  people constantly watch the  search results.

I’m sure everyone noticed the search results for their social media circle. That is a cool addition but when Google changed the results where it would falsely show your site ranked number one etc that pissed me off because I would have to use another browser to see the real results. I personally don’t care about serps and ranking on this blog but I do have sites that it’s critical. I do knock out the big sites on google everyday. It’s pretty easy if you think about it but it often doesn’t make sense. For example if you search do follow blogs you will see some bloggers that were pretty savy like 2 years ago and stuck on the spot for along time now skill or Luck has to be acknowledged when seen. I don’t want a real time search for google. I have other search engines to use for that.

Do you think Google should risk messing up a good thing and Go LIVE ? Would the results be based on time or real relevance ?

They should use caffeine for that real time search or something else. Right now they have the best of both worlds customers searching and customers spending money BIG money to be on their pages why mess with a good thing ?

What do you think ?

Thanks

I am glad this blog gets indexed immediately but there’s along road from indexing to page one and they should  keep it like that :)

Hey John, I use real time search every day. I have a site or two… that live for fast up to the minute info. I have also been watching to see how I can benefit from hot topics in real time.

To most normal every day searchers, they do not even see anything real time unless it is a Hot Topic. So as of right now…it would depend on what you sell as to if real time would effect your incoming searches. People that understand search & want the latest info have to Go into the options. Most old ladies getting online to search have no idea how to even do that (I know because I have taught some old ladies how to search & just getting them to use SWR is hard enough).

To complain about how the big G does things is likely a waste of breath. Sure, if I owned G I would do things different…my sites would be on top & everyone elses’ would be in IF they paid me big bucks. ;)

Right now Google is The Name for search so, if I want to make sales, I have to my best to get at the top of their list or use their PPC (Pay with time or cash). Every site that offers a service should have the right to make money.

Ok, rant kind of over.

I like Google :) Thanks for stopping by
I only object to their frowning on selling links when that is their main source of income
I don’t have any specific keywords I rarely care about but if I was selling COOL POT Tee shirts for example
I would no doubt be ranked #1

That’s why they frown upon others doing it… it hurts their multi-gazillion dollar business model. :P

If people get good at gaming the real time search (and I’m sure there are already people taking advantage now) we’ll begin to see it less and less.

I don’t think it’s ready for prime time yet. I prefer the old pre real time search results engine. Time will tell if they can improve though.

it only came about in the first place because they were/are afraid of Twitter search.

I’m with you my friend. Grabbing the #1 spots because you type faster is just wrong. lol

I have had this post open since yesterday in my browser to comment on, but I had a record day in sales, in fact the first 2 days of the week surpassed all other weeks for me, so I was extremely busy. Anyway…

I don’t think social search will affect most users, unless they are in niches where people use Social Media a lot. Niches like my money sites won’t be affected, but Hot Blog Tips may be….

I agree, why mess up a good thing, but that is part of their game, keep the rest of us changing to suit them.
