Is it time to pull Google adsense from your blog ?

Today as I answered a phone call from another big ad agency saying they approved my application I was thinking about how unfair the whole blog monetization system really is. Lord knows I have ran plenty of ads that didn’t make a dime.To be totally honest the people that are  making the real big money are not making it from ads on their blogs, well some blogs do but we are way far away from that level of blogging. So how can you make big money now without waiting for the easier ways to come.

keyword search
Media buys- is when you purchase ads on sites like Facebook. This is a lot easier then you think and I have made and lost money doing this. I’m going to start doing this more and stop doing things that are a waste of time. Shoemoney has some clear easy videos to check out about media buys. It does involve risk and I always use disposable debit cards because if your not careful you will get wiped out FAST.
Google adsense is good in many ways because even though Google is making all the money compared to what they pay you it’s very easy to add to your site and they are automatically targeted. But when an adsense ad pays you a buck versus ads that pay you much better it makes sense to go with the ones that really pay.
For example if I tweeted out a bitly link Saying Check out my new Facebook App to GET LAID :) and a few people that are single decide to check it out then I will be making way more then sitting around waiting for my $100 check Believe THAT :) Now adsense is awesome on niche specific sites but if your blogs focus is random then your pay is going to be shitty.
Say you send a tweet saying Spice up your Facebook Page < That’s it. You will see those ads converting way better then some sponsored tweet. Sponsor your own tweets :)
So what do you think about running Google adsense on your blog  ? I will make some videos showing you just what I do and how over the weekend, right now I’m watching this account :)

Disclaimer:I’m an affiliate with Google Adsense and have made plenty of money from Google.

HAPPY WEEKEND everyone :)

Also those red text links ads on here pay whether a person clicks or not :) Might want to check it out Thanks

I’ve made a whopping $15 so far with AdSense, but I’m all over the place, which = shitty earnings. :) Guess I should learn better focus. But it’s so much more fun doing things in my scattered kinda way.

John,

Funny you should write this the same week I put Adsense back on my pages! I have been told different things when it comes to putting ads on my sites, especially when one is still relatively new. I decided to put ads on the 2 pages I thought they would do the best on, 1 because traffic is directed there from another site that isn’t mine consistently, and the other on a proof page that would probably get some decent hits. All of this sounds good in my mind, but from what I’ve been reading from different places, all of this might not even matter! So, I’m hoping that adding them back was a good decision, I’m at like $30 right now and have yet to make my first $100 from Adsense ::runs away in shame from noobness:: :D Any tips you give will be GREATLY appreciated! Here’s to the weekend!!!

I agree John that you need a highly targeted niche with lots of traffic to make money with google adsense. My general blog converted like crap with adsense and I took it down but my vacation rental site does ok but still I think there are better avenues to pursue than adsense.

Hi :) I’m not telling people NOT to use adsense just that you may be giving money away to google but using their ads vs ones that pay very well. One click vs many is something to THINK ABOUT :)
Happy Weekend everyone Thanks

Great article John! It really matters what exactly your writing about with Google, on my blog tips site I am lucky to get .25c per click, but on my fence sites I get upwards of a dollar per click.

Affiliates can be a great way to do it as well, and I never thought about sending out my own affiliates on Twitter and Facebook! (thanks for) that tip!

My products site has blown up this week and I have been covered up with that work, but it pays way better than any ads could, so I have to prioritize….

See you around this weekend.

The two things for increase adsense revenue is to search high paying keywords and increase our blog traffic from search engine, I mentioned search engine because the traffic comes from search engine are targeted traffic.

I haven’t used adsense in years; I still have 30 some-odd dollars sitting in my account. lol

I may pick it up again if I start niche blogs, but not on main ones. :)

I think times are changing and as they do, google must start to pay more or other advertisers may move in and utilise the sites a lot better!

I dropped Adsense ,and others from my blog simply due to the fact that the money trade off is not very good, and my niche is pretty much banner blind.

I think Google Adsense can be a money maker in the right niches if you have enough traffic (10,000+ hits per day) other then that I don’t think you will make enough with Adsense for it to be worth your while.

just my 2 cents…

Adsense frustrates me to no end. I get as much as 1.50 per click on 2 of my sites and the others – which get way more traffic – pay about a dime. I have about $70 sitting in my account, nut of course I have to wait until it goes over a hundred to get paid. I’d much rather be more proactive than sitting around hoping someone clicks. Thanks for the media buys suggestion – I’ll have to look into that more …
