Just wanted to share a little tip, it could be considered a little tacky but it’s your blog so your able to make the choices that you want. Here’s what I do since I’m not really trying to rank #1 for John Sullivan, or the Blog No one Reads either HOPEFULLY. Since I don’t target any keywords per se but let’s say you want the keywords “Lame EBooks” for example. Well I don’t respond back to everyone just to falsely inflate my comments numbers but I do respond so here’s what to do. Instead of responded back to you as John Sullivan I can quickly respond back as “Lame Ebooks”, using my same email and also it’s GOOD to use url’s for your other sites. I never have to run around commenting to build links because I do it right here. I also use Zemanta and add a few posts to the end of almost every post. This is like a PINGBACK bomb and all those links end up backlinked right here where they are supposed to. So this site is linked heavily to itself and just as heavy to others. Now this isn’t an excuse to not visit people and build links but I really only say something if I want. I don’t feel obligated to say something cool for a backlink and all that lame stuff.
If your blog is DO FOLLOW like this one and has keyword luv and comment luv this is very easy and worth doing if not your ass out LOL
just kidding since people are speculation about the power of no follow vs do follow, it’s at least worth trying, so basically when you answer someone USE your Key Words as your name, no one ever said back to me Hey your not BEST BLOG In the Universe etc.
Also if you have a hot post and you respond from the front side more then once switch up you comment luv links also, I usually scroll to something I think the person may be interested in or I want to BOOKMARK 
I don’t use digg and these crazy places I use one spot AMPLIFY and twitter. I also am limiting that because I watch some bloggers sign in and out from one account to the other RT blasting and to me to be honest that’s pathetic, in MY opinion. I ‘m NOT saying I never did it but I don’t have to and can’t remember the last time. See people are watching you and people are funny about petty shit and you may be loosing more then it’s worth as people flee from the fanatic who is RT 24/7 365, don’t risk loosing your great reputation with cheesy tactics that are really making it a lot harder on you then it’s supposed to be. I would like to maybe on day be at a level where I didn’t have to bookmark shit and when I wrote something the post itself brought the traffic. Something to think about Thanks

You can see in the pic above the keywords I used for this example. I don’t even write about pot as a post title and I’m sure there’s plenty of awesome blogs out there about POT but we can see who’s number 1.
Look 1 I don’t care about any keywords 2 I don’t even use Google analytics or waste time speculating about links and serps I just do my thing and what happens happens but if I WAS sniping keywords I would be NUMBER ONE FOR whatever I wanted QUICK
It’s not me it’s the method, it’s a simple switch it up and DON’T bombard Google with the same Key Word 24/7 that is NOT the way to get to number one, this is an unnatural way to make it look natural on the sly The proof is in the pudding. Thanks

I have to admit, I have seen several twitter accounts like you said here, after a while it seemed obvious there was one person running them all, spamming the same link on them all.. as if that will go un-noticed!?! :@

Not sure with WP… hope you don’t mind me asking, as I believe as you do, we should all be that way… I have said for years links are how all this shit works, without them it’s useless and we should be linking out as well as getting links in.
With blogger being a no follow as I knew, I just stuck to linking to others in the post themselves…
So, yes, I;d like to encourage those I link to get some juice, else I wouldn’t link to them, that means I need to know what’s do follow, and what’s not on this WP set up.

If I ever do anything incorrect point it out to me please! I’m a noob at all of this, and would hate to be doing something wrong. I usually RT to my followers wherever I get approved comments as a way to get traffic to the blog site to kind of help each other out. Also, I only post at places that I genuinely like, it makes commenting a lot easier if I like reading the post and enjoy the blog author as well. I’m still learning there’s a thin line between spam and posting for real. I social bookmark too, but I thought that was all part of what I was “supposed to do”. Still learning….

Why comment on your own blog for backlinks from it? Why not just add the backlinks in the blogroll or, as I do, as an RSS feed of your other blogs to your sidebar?
@Anne Moss: This is more for targeting certain keywords instead of always using Anne Moss you can use Israeli Bloggers etc to mix it up
and when you response you can pick an OLD link to shoot back with comment luv

Does Zemanta plug-in for generating internal backlinks work better than the YARRP (Yet Another Related Posts Plug-in). I saw a large increase in comments by adding dofollow and I also don’t respond to every comment unless the comment is one that really invites and needs a response. But I don’t leave comments on my own blog from other emails/sites not because I am against it per se, but because I barely have the time to promote/SEO my own blog to add comments to it is just one more thing I barely have time for.
