Just wanted to do some secret tactic mini posts on some quick simple tips that I have found effective.
Lots of new people come by your site and they may be slightly impressed because your site could be better but since they are running around like crazy seeing hundreds of blogs, how are they going to remember YOU and what did YOU do that was any different then the other 100 Bloggers ?
Simple when you check out their site to make sure it’s ok to approve their comment right before you click approve SNATCH their email address with a quick copy and paste then send them an email saying “HEY Thanks for stopping by my blog POTPOLITICS I went and checked yours out. I’m always glad to meet new people and if there is anything I can do to help you out just give me a SHOUT THANKS
BAMM that’s it

Wow! I really like this idea. I never thought about emailing people that comment on my blog. I may go to their blog and leave a comment if they have one, but emailing never crossed my mind. I will definitely be trying this one out.

I just wanted to mention there is a wp plugin that automatically shoots a commenter a generic Thanks but I like a little handcrafted Like I like the way you set up your site etc it’s easy to find at least one nice thing to say

Thanks John! I am still upset over that guys attack at me. I was trying to figure out what I should do about it on my way home from work tonight. Thought maybe I should email him and see why he was so angry towards me. I have never had that happen to me before. I am now really questioning if my blog is really that bad.
I agree with you on writing your own message to the commenter. I am definitely going to use it. In fact I have just sent one out from one of my other sites. Really want people to know that I am sincere about how much I value them commenting on my site. Who knows maybe I can get some backlinks as a bonus.

I have received emails like this from other websites that I commented on. Yet, never once had the thought crossed my mind that I should be doing the same thing too. Funny how sometimes great ideas are right in front of you, yet don’t get noticed. Good tip.

I have seen many such responses, most of them are actually ‘auto-responders’ from plug-ins, but someone really sending email after reading the comment is something that doesn’t happen very often. Though for me it will surely be a winner.

Responding to each email takes a fair amount of time, but it seems like it is worth the extra effort.
The only one I do not respond to are the ones when someone asks a question that I do know the answer to, and I usually respond to most of those. I know, I know, 100% is the goal!
With a really busy site, I do not know how you would get it all done.

@Keith HI Hope you been good. What I meant is not emailing everyone and yes they have plugins if you want to go the easy route but like when you first came here I went to your site and I remember emailing you. The point is that the MAJORITY of the blogs don’t give a rats’s ass about the people visiting. Sometimes I trip out because it HOPEFULLY FALSELY seems like people gravitate towards these people and the people that are like that seem to prosper maybe I should give a FUCK LESS and ….
nah money isn’t everything and PEOPLE are in my opinion
