Are you being misunderstood ?

by John Sullivan on March 7, 2010 · 13 comments

in America, bloggers, blogging, blogging tips, do follow blogs

It’s kind of ironic. I run a marketing company that specializes in search engine optimization with Google, but I also know that to get ahead in life, it is a lot of times about six degrees of separation and who you know. I am not a blogger, I don’t have the same mindset as those like Keith Bloemendaal, who is a male version of the social butterfly. As a blogger, you have to respect everyone, I think it is in the official unspoken code of conduct somewhere. Even if you don’t like another blogger, you don’t talk shit about them, or be mean to them in comments, it is just not cool.

Keith is a cool guy, but is a lot more forgiving and easy going than I. I don’t put up with shit, any shit. You do something to burn my trust, say something that comes across disrespectful, or fuck over someone I care about, and you better know that you got something coming back your way at some point. It might not be that day, it might not be next week, and it might come in 10 or 20 years, but mark my words, I will get you back ten fold, I don’t play that shit.

I am reserved when it comes to networking with new people. I used to mesh well with everyone, and then I started realizing that at least 50% of people were crappy people and shitheads, and I didn’t like that very much. I also am not a group person, I am more of a 1-on-1 or 2-on-2 kind of guy. I also think that what I have to offer is much more than those same shitheads have to offer me. Don’t get me wrong, any relationship should be mutually beneficial, but a lot of people in this world are just douche bags.

As I stated earlier, I am not a blogger, so what the hell is John Sullivan doing allowing me to post on his website? That’s a good question. Keith had been networking with John for a while, I watched them interact on Facebook and I wasn’t sure if John was the kind of person I wanted to network with. The funny part is that the main reason I didn’t really try to socialize with him is because he comes across arrogant a lot of times, and I don’t usually mesh well with people who are a LOT like me, LOL. So I sat back for months, assessing the situation. I realized that my feelings towards him were a lot like people’s feelings towards me, we are both just MISUNDERSTOOD. In the digital world, it is 100 times easier to come across the wrong way or interpret something differently than the message was intended to be received. And sometimes a message is completely accurate and there is no way it can be taken any other way. You see most of us live in America. Dennis Leary once said, this country was founded on two things, meat and war. You eat enough meat and you want to go to war. Unfortunately, he was wrong, this country was founded on THREE things. Meat, talking shit, and war. You eat enough meat, you start talking shit, then you go to war, then you talk MORE SHIT after you win the war.

So getting back to why he allowed me to post on his website, I decided to send him an email to an article about making K2 illegal, which is funny as well since we are on the verge of legalizing marijuana throughout the country. North Carolina is voting soon to legalize it as well, so if it becomes legal, then no one will buy K2. Shouldn’t we be focusing on unemployment? I mean it is now 2010 and if we sold all of the marijuana we have been confiscating at the border, we would probably eliminate the national deficit in a few years, we could be exporting drugs all across the globe instead of importing. But red tape and emotions and feelings are involved, therefore we will just stay in the Grand Canyon size whole we are in. So, John Sullivan, allowed me to write about it on his website, but I am much better at writing about shitheads, then marijuana and drugs.

I own and operate a number of personal websites outside of the ones that I manage and market for my clients. There is a lot of humor to the people outside looking in on many of them, because if you are the target of one of them, you probably won’t find it funny. The two most popular websites I have are one’s that more and more hardworking Americans are coming across. One of them is Contact The CEO, which contains all of the contact information for the Fortune 100 CEOs including home addresses and even some phone numbers, it also has a blog which encourages people to post their experiences with these companies. That website is the essence of Freedom of Speech and the right to talk shit about people. The motto: “Nothing Beats Being A Nobody™” is a reference to the little people who have lost their homes and American dreams to the big corporations that have been destroying this country, now have a voice.

In closing, I would like to thank John for giving me this opportunity to contribute to his great website. I don’t have what it takes to be a blogger, but I do have what it takes to make you look like a fool on Google if you want to fuck me over, your name could end up at the Top 10 of Google, and there is NOTHING you can do about it!

Thanks Will I will leave a comment :) appreciate the writing and ah no one Guest post here I think in two years I added 2 posts for friends

Any blogger that is going to be successful blogging needs to always challenge themselves to assess their weaknesses, build their strengths and take risks. How do you know if something is going to work if it’s still inside your HEAD :) Let it OUT but like in my case I need to look for better and most positive ways to Let it out ;) Working on it Peace

Will Thanks man

Keith keep your crazy friends over that way :) just kidding Thanks GUYS

Speaking of being misunderstood, who wrote this post? It sounds so much like John I’m pretty confused.

It’s impossible to be clear on tone all of the time when writing online. “That’s funny John…” Did I mean that John was ‘truly funny’ or did I mean “very funny smart ass”? See what I mean? I’ll write one thing and others will often read it and get an entirely different meaning. That’s probably due to the net allowing a truck driver (that’s me) to write blog posts lol

@social butterfly I mean Keith. I don’t think I’m going to be able to resist that nickname. I’ll apologize in advance lol

OMG the people who have posted comments after the post are HIGHlarious, it’s apparent you guys all know each other! :P I think they should just go ahead and legalize marijuana too, if someone can go get drunk and have to drive home causing destruction on the way, why can’t I sit in my house and spark up and joint, not bothering anyone? States like California sure could benefit from the tax dollars they would get from selling it, as well as the tax dollars that go to house “criminals” in jail now. And you’re right, it’s all about “feelings” and stupid stuff like that…if they would just look at facts and quit acting like it’s still the age or Reefer Madness, maybe we could move forward and get somewhere. But probably not lol :P
