    John,

I use ping-o-matic as well. I have mine bookmarked to the send page so I can just click my bookmark and update that my site has been updated in one click. By the way, I’m really glad I found your blog, didn’t know one like this existed. I will have to check out past posts and look around. :D

I have been pinging different channels using Ping O Matic for my article on Hub Pages and Article Base. I have not seen any drastic change but I heard a very successful case study, which made me start doing that.

I’ve been using pingler.com but I think they’re pretty much the same. I also try to ping posts I comment on and anywhere my link shows up.

How do you ping other bloggers posts?

  5. madhollywood@Sketch Art says:

I gotta get on the ping bandwagon. I have heard it’s valuable and generally you seem to agree. Off to go ping the crap out of the universe!

  6. Nate@New Credit Card Laws 2010 says:

I haven’t really noticed any benefit from pinging, but I guess it’s worth it if it only takes a minute to copy and paste a list of sites to ping. Has anyone noticed any differences when pinging vs. not pinging?

  7. Hesham @ FamousBloggersTips says:

Like John said, it’s Automatic if you are using WordPress.. it should be ping automatically!

  8. Hesham @ FamousBloggersTips says:

This is very useful post John, I have found some ping services not included on my list, I have just updated it ;)

I have 67 services on my list now, yours is 33 … so I am going to send you my list by email right now, maybe you can find something interesting on it :)

  9. Rick Byrd says:

    John:

I noticed that you have http://rpc.pingomatic.com/ listed 3 times. Is that on purpose? If so, can it be a problem with pinging a site too often?

    - Rick

  10. Extreme John @Blogging CEO says:

I can’t even remember what I am using to ping my site, I haven’t done much with the blogging aspect of things. I have been readign and commenting more than actually doing anything useful with my blog, all though I did release a video today.

  11. max@industrial pumps says:

I use Pingler to ping my posts, and it also lets you ping any URL, so if I want to ping another blog’s post after I’ve placed a comment there I do that as well. It’s a win-win because the blog benefits from being pinged and also your link gets crawled too. Thanks for providing more ping services!
