A post tinged with happiness and sadness, sorry to hear you don’t get to see her as often as you would like, as a dad myself I can relate to it big time.

Hard work and never easy being a parent, any dick can be a dad, takes a man to be a father though.

A big happy 18th birthday to Shannon, wish her all the best of luck, love and happiness in her future, no doubt now she is 18 she will also have grown mentally and emotionally stronger and thinking more about things with a different perspective.

Hopefully your relationship will only get closer and stronger from here on.

My eldest son (got two sons) is 17 in two weeks and I separated from their mum years ago, yet I have always stayed in their lives having them every weekend and holidays where I can etc, I am glad and grateful we were able to do that.
So many men just don’t bother with their kids sadly, yet their are also some who would do anything to change that, sadly the mums can often stop it and in effect use their kids like pawns in a game… without a thought to what it does to the kiss too… those types of women are unbelievably selfish.

But damn, where did that time go?
It seem’s T’was only yesterday I helped deliver him to the world.

I have come to realise the most important thing is that our kids know we love them and are there for them no matter what.

Ain’t no doubt ya love ya daughter mate, she is a young woman now and no doubt she loves her old man, I mean dad.

Damn we are getting old!
