When writing a post we all have our own goals. Some people are writing for fun and some for straight up profit, so how do we decide what to target and blend in our keywords at the same time for maximum payout ?
People bid on keywords using adwords and other campaigns and their ad shows up and they hopefully get targeted traffic for that topic. We don’t want to spend money on adwords but don’t want to write about DWI Attorneys either so what do we do ?
Use your mind and put yourself in the searchers position, envision what they would type to get to exactly where YOU WANT them. It’s not rocket science and since it’s Free you can practice what techniques are best. Some bookmarking sites may prove better then others. Commenting on certain blogs also helps.
Adsense really does suck on those days you make NO money but when you take some time to visualize your real target the ads will take care of themselves. Sadly the amount of ads people are clicking are down but that for me isn’t true. If you run the right ads and people need that item or product they are going to get it PERIOD

John, I’m using AdSense but I haven’t received a payout yet. In the past I haven’t spent much time working on it but I realize that I need to start.
At my day job, we purchase some Adwords and it’s great for us. I work for a technical publisher and it helps to get international traffic so we buy some Adwords in Spanish or French. It’s something that our resellers were already doing so it works really well because we get nice royalties from the resellers too.

Like you John I do ok with AdSense but I don’t mess with the other end of it. Leave that to the guy selling widgets that doesn’t have time to learn the ropes and doesn’t know enough to hire me.

so when it cost your 5 bucks for 100 worth of HIGHLY targeted clicks you would be loving some adwords then Brother ;P
I never pay to advertise anything
Am I missing out? How do I get on this e-mail list to get $100 free Adwords? I’ve gotten them occasionally (like once a year) but never more often than that. Maybe I need to comment 3 more times so I’m the 10th commenter.
I’ve never made much money off adsense, but a bit here and there.

I remember having the same $100 Adwords credit but the moment I decided to use it, it has already expired. I think I might need one now for an online venture one of these days. I just don’t want to get into something where I need to give out some CC info and stuff.
Adsense eCPM is pretty much unpredictable but despite the keyword competition, I’m seeing a Paycheck hopefully by the end of this month or first week of March.

I’ve got my adsense up on my blogs John but I don’t worry too much about them. It does surprise me though how sometimes a click can bring in $5 and other times it will bring in 2c . It would be great if you could find out which one brought the $5.
All to hard for me mate, reckon I’ll just keep doing what I do best, as soon as I find out what that is
