Bad Batch is a new indie feature produced on next to no-budget. One night, an unlikely group of college students (who met on Facebook) eat a full tray of some seriously strong pot brownies. Some unexpected #%$ hits the fan, followed by the stakes and each character getting higher and higher in close to real time.

An honest depiction of getting absurdly high, Bad Batch is the first feature from writer-director Abe Schwartz, who’s most recently worked as a copywriter for the entertainment industry. (He’s written spots for ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia“, the title for the game Call of Duty: World at War, etc.) The movie is a labor of love all the way, and a throwback with its unique black and white aesthetic.

Bad Batch stars Lionel Sam, Jessica Watkins, and JR Lemon in their feature-film debuts, and features Schwartz in a supporting role as a rabbinical student who’s also a pot dealer. Featuring an all-original score and mind-altering sound design, Bad Batch is one high you won’t forget. Check out the trailer for Bad Batch.

To me this is what the internet is all about. You see someone that is trying to get the word out about what they are working on and you do whatever you can to help them, I wish Abe and his crew the best.

Pot brownies are very overrated……..they tend to get uber-cruncy because of all the plant material that gets crunched up into the brownie batter.

A better way to cook with cannabis = cannabutter! you use about 1/2 lb. of leaves (don’t waste yer buds) in a steaming water bath extraction with 8 cups of water (about 2 hours just below boiling point)……then you add 1 pound of organic sweet cream butter……..another 2 hours just below a boil (200 degrees F) stirring occasionally. Strain the solution through a colander, and you will have a pot of oily greenish-yellow water, that needs to solidify. Put in the refrigerator overnight and then skim the finished product off the top of the water. Use the remaining water (still has dissolved THC molecules) for making oatmeal, or boiling pasta, or making rice.
Yield = about 50 teaspoons of cannabutter, about 50 doses for an average person.

Use the cannabutter in place of your usual oil or butter or margarine that you’d put into the brownie recipe.

If you follow this procedure……you can produce delicious Pot Brownies without that horrid “crunch” aftertaste!!!

Step one: Move to a US state with Medical Cannabis

Step two: Obtain doctor’s recommendation to use Cannabis

Once you’re hooked up in one of the 14-15 states that allow this, I can probably send a small medical sample, provided I’m not going to be thrown in Federal prison.

However, cannabutter does NOT travel well, it needs to be kept FROZEN to allow potency to remain intact. Once it thaws, the quality deteriorates– but it can be baked into COOKIES or other baked goods, which are not detectable by Federal mail police.

Dude, something like this JUST happened in my hometown at the high school I went to. Kids thought they were eating pot brownies, but they ended up being way stronger, with something else in the mix. Scary. Luckily they’re ok, but there’s a lesson to be learned in this.

I can get down with edibles sometimes, but they’re really unpredictable.

This story is great! I have had a similar experience in the past with Jello Shots!
