I noticed many of the blogs I have been checking out lately people seem to be in a reflective, introspective moment. Surely every blogger sat there staring at the screen thinking, What the hell am I doing ? Why isn’t this working like I thought ?
I’m going to finally tell you why it’s not working.Because you don’t want it to.When I look back at all the mistakes I made online I often think I really sabotaged myself often on purpose. See how can we THINK we desire one thing and then do the exact thing that WE know isn’t working. I try to convince myself that the slow growth is better then no growth and all that but in reality I’m not where I should be because of ME. Sure I can tell myself well that dick snob bitch didn’t get back to me or I can continue to take the easy way on some things that I should of done already and I’ll keep getting what I have been getting.
Life is short and I learned so much about people, blogging and tons of cool things that it’s long past time to step up and actually do something about it.
Listen there are so many cool sites coming down the pike right now the wave of people getting rich from social media, blogging and all that is going to sky rocket, wait till the REAL WIFI comes you will see that Facebook really does suck and we are all still very far apart from each other. I’m getting ready are you ?
A little case study
I got tired of bloggers running around like a bunch of squirrels looking for the next NUT and decided to go with a domain I had and wasn’t using to open it up to some other bloggers, why keep building content and sites for people that are already rich and don’t care about you. So the project is started and I was very happy to see people getting involved and having ownership is key to me. If I feel like the people care and I’m around good people what more does a person want ?
I have tried so many times to reach out to other bloggers, php people, site developers etc etc to me it’s sad that a person can have genuine skills as far as building a cool site yet they lack basic people/social skills. BUT you know what they did me a favor because it gave me a chance to work even harder and to confirm what I already knew if you want something done right you have to do it yourself or with some real people.
The bottom line is everyone has different goals for what they are doing online and in life it maybe a good time to step back for a minute and THINK about what it is your REALLY trying to do ![]()
Please feel free to share exactly what you are into and trying to do online HEY who knows someone may read it and get back to you and you never know

Blogging is all in the mind so what is it that you really want ?

Hi John,
I guess everyone who engages online and off have different purposes and motivation. For as long as a person gets something out of his efforts, I think any effort is never futile. It all depends on a person’s standard of looking at things.

It really is amazing just how much we limit ourselves, I find myself doing a lot of the things you mentioned above when it comes to pretty much everything I do. If I believe in it, it works.

Most people reflect at the beginning of a new year. The fact this is a new decade makes it all the more, as you say, introspective.

Ari,
I gave up on that long ago, those new year’s resolutions never stick, lol, and then you kick yourself the whole rest of the year because you didn’t do them, and then you start all over on Dec 31.

Ari beat me to it. I was going to say the reason most blogs are reflective/introspective rigth now is because it’s the new year and lots a new years resolution are on their minds, I’m sure.

Hey John no doubt that everyone has different goals when it comes to blogging. I love your quote “If I feel like the people care and I’m around good people what more does a person want ?” this is what it is really about. Surround yourself around people that truly care in helping one another. Wish you continued success

You are so right John, a blogger must have focus to succeed. I personally have several blogs, all with various purposes. Some are primarily just platforms for MMO and my IM blog is made to network with other IM people and to pass on useful info that I have learned to make money. Each blog has a different approach as per the goal, and it is essential to establish that prior to launch.

I read something today from @henrijuntillathat resonated with me. Henri authors a blog about the law of attraction…
In one of his older posts he says in order to know WHAT you want, you first have to know WHO you are…
I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been getting more and more into the ‘law of attraction’ mindset lately (cause I defintely want to attract success from this experiment in blogging!) but part of the figuring out “what I want” really is also figuring out “Who Am I ” and what really will make me happy.
The good news is that I have a REALLY firm grasp on who I am and what makes me happy so that part is solid. So now I just need to link that feeling to the certainty of success and I’ve got it made!
If the ‘law of attraction’ thing appeals to you, I”ve also encountered a pretty heavy (ie: really powerful and good!) resource via Twitter – @loatutor. Click to his website and dig around – there is so really good shit there and some pretty powerful stuff to make you think about yourself and your power to be happy!
And what makes me happy righ this instant? I’m tyoping this from a home office – I can hear my two young boys playing upstairs (4 years old and 3 years old) my wife is just coming home from walking the dogs around our safe and tree filled neighborhood and I’m about to go pick up my daughter from school at 3:00 in the afternoon.
I don’t have to do a thing more and I’m ALREADY successful!
Cheers guys – a little blast of happiness, eh?

As far as aI’m concerned every person that has already commented is a winner to me
Don that’s tight always glad to hear someone living life
Very cool inspiration on a nice afternoon here Thanks
Now my first instinct is to BLOW off all that positive crap
but in being honest with myself and not HAPPY with my level of
happiness I think it would be wise to investigate and the mind can and does exactly what it wants the trick is making that FOOL do what you want and is best for everyone

That is pretty deep John. A positive mind can do powerful things. Have you ever heard of the book called “The Secret”…its a great read..
I agree John. This article has put me a lot of realization that i never noticed ever since I involved myself in blogging. “What am i really trying to do”. Perhaps i just wanna let the people know what’s going on inside my head? Or perhaps i wanna know what are the things going on inside other people’s head? Or maybe both? Hmm… interesting.

I’ve been talking with a few local businessmen lately and one just told be he lost his first house and had to file bankruptcy years ago when he was building his business. Now he employs almost a thousand people and enjoys a great lifestyle. He told me that most people are not willing to take the risk sometimes required to make it. That conversation has me reflecting a bit.
I totally agree about meeting great people and helping each other. The friends, like you, I’ve come to know online and off are important and not worth risking. Otherwise, any wealth wouldn’t be worth having. I guess we start looking at things differently as we get older.
Hey, thanks for the link luv John, it is appreciated.

I’ve been in that self-growth mindset since 2008 I realized how much one can self-sabotage themselves.
Being a hypnotist as well it is all about rewiring the mind, however sometimes you are your worst customer.
What I am trying to do online, I want freedom, I don’t need to be rich, I want a positive (but not vomit positive, if you get what I am saying) people to work with that I will be able to meet someday, and be happy, yeah be happy to be alive. Was that vomit positive?
