Hey President Barack Obama stop thinking we’re stupid

Just one year ago I was so supportive of Barack Obama becoming the President I got very emotional watching the inauguration and the CNN Live blogging, all the beautiful people so happy it was awesome.

There’s so many people that are destroying my country and I feel like I have to be quiet about it, so I look the other way and go with the flow like all Americans are doing. Today the reality struck me that I may have to be a real American and prepare to take action against these forces in order to save our precious country.
Americans were always willing to take it to the streets and speak up and even act out against the government when necessary. I shudder to think how the most powerful country in the world  would react against her own people?

Today was an unfortunate day in Politics and a clear realization that Mr Obama wasted his real shot at power by  putting the rich and powerful first. I was reading that Barack Obama is doing all the things to secure his second term THEN he will attempt to solve the problems of black America and us common folk. The logic was that he would have enough money to be unbeatable then he would stick it to DA MAN and prove that he was all about  that GREAT SHIT he was talking.

I was very sad to learn that Barack Obama and the Democratic Goofs have come up with a horrendous Health care program that to me is worthless and a LIE from what they said they were going to do, NO public option just means that the health care industry and the government are the only ones that will benefit. Millions of people have free health care right now they get sick go to a public hospital and Don’t PAY that’s  Free healthcare. Anyway it’s sad in that I do really like Barack Obama as a person and was always glued to all his speeches up until a month ago or so then it came to me as I woke up for the COMA that the American people are in and that is that this government and these politicians have people that should be first on the list dead last. It’s surreal to constantly watch scumbags benefit in this society and it’s our own fault. Me I’m going to start getting ready……

their power comes from your fear

It sure seems like a lot of people share your sentiments. I was never a big Obama fan from the get, not a Bush fan either. They are all scumbags in my opinion!

Wow I am saying that I still have faith in the American people and in reality if WE stuck together like Americans these people wouldn’t dare cross us but since our government often justifiably so GOT STRONGER she isn’t going to let go easily. There are MILLIONS of semi useless people living off the tax dollars enriching themselves thinking they have every right because of their Title well we may see sadly that a title or gun doesn’t mean shit when you have a few million coming your way ;) I pray to never see that day.
Thanks guy those comments were on point
BUT I have an even stronger passion to let you all know that I’m truly grateful to be an American and have the Freedoms that we still have……..
And it’s sad that humans still can’t do things for the benefit of everyone.

Obama is likable but he doesn’t listen. None of the politicians listen. They know better than us “common folk” and they’ll do whatever they can to do what’s best for us whether we want it or not.

I think Americans are generally opposed to anything that is forced on them. Whether you are for change or against it if you have no choice you’re not going to want it in the end.

I think it’s in our DNA way to many independant thinkers breeding willy nilly can cause all sorts of mutations and stubbornesses’s. That’s a lot of s’s but what the heck I was feeling it.

I just hope the day will come that people realize that this Democratic and Republican shit is a joke, I would say something coy like “Name the last GREAT President” but the reality is it’s been a reeeeeeal long time.

Obama’s fall from grace is no surprise in the same way that Bush’s 5 minutes of fame after 9-11 quickly came to an end. They all suck, and your right it’s just going to keep getting worse.

I couldn’t agree with you more.

When we were given the choice between McCain and Obama, it was a no-brainer for me. Obama offered up a unique opportunity to change the way the government worked. I was sooooo optimistic that ‘Change’ would truly come. But as the months went on, I’ve become more and more disappointed with what he’s done, and lacked doing. I still think he was the better choice of what we were given, but I don’t know if I will vote for him again in 2012. (Unless he’s up against Palin, cuz she’s just incompetent.)

I couldn’t have said it better, John. People are not stupid and that should be evident from the recent election of Scott Brown (a Republican) in Massachusetts. A seat that had been held by Ted Kennedy for 46 years! Seems like some people in Massachusetts are pissed off…

Hmmm, politicians, lie and deceive, impossible  .

Thanks for the comprehensive info on the topic of health care, I think that this is a bad time for Americans all in all, and this health care bill is just another sign that we are all screwed in many ways!

So, where is the socially liberal and fiscally conservative party? Who can I vote for that will leave us alone in our personal lives without spending all of our money and driving our nation into bankruptcy or even more inflation?

Oh yeah, I forgot… that wouldn’t give the political winners any kind of wealth or power over us :(

I’ve also been trying to give Obama a chance, but so many of his choices seem to be way too similar to what we’ve come to expect from Bush and the Republicans. If you want someone to listen to you in Congress, I guess you have to show up with a big bag of cash of a journalist ready to write a glowing editorial on the establishment’s behalf.

Something is coming though, because we’re adding debt like there’s no tomorrow and nothing we’re spending on is the type of thing that will prove a good long-run investment. So we’re not borrowing all this money to insure medical coverage or fund the next generation of scientists, we’re just wasting it on explosions in the desert and banker bonuses…

Its pretty sad to look back and see what American politics has become. Maybe Obama’s failures can help wake people up to that fact, but then what?

Well a republican being appointed to Ted Kennedy’s old seat might help that as the dems are scrambling now that their power play will be impacted.

I think Obama’s a good man at his core, however the decisions that he’s making regarding economic policy are crippling our country. In my opinion, his stimulus packages and bailouts will eventually lead to a severe decline in the value of the US dollar and eventually a hyperinflationary situation will develop similar to that in the Weimar Republic, Germany. We need to speak out now!

I think Obama is doing the best job possible, under the circumstances.

Last year, the government made a $46 BILLION dollar profit from the TARP loans given to the major banks. That folks is a success!

His health care plan is flawed, but will stop the skyrocketing medical costs in this country.

Finally, look at what Obama has done for the image of the United States in other countries! He’s more popular than Gorbachev was, and Gorby was hugely popular worldwide, albeit a pariah figure in his own country.

Compared to that f*cking moron GWB, our new President is da bomb!

Now stop dissin’ on our homeboy Pres……OK?

Give him a freakin’ chance— he’s only been in office for 367 days!!!

A $46 billion dollar profit doesn’t mean much to me when the country is in debt to the tune of $12,334,070,231,899.63!! Yes, that’s a real number!

Thanks Obama…you da man!

What we need to do forget Democrats & Republicans they are useless.
We need to get Congress to shut down the fucking Federal Reserve.
Congress don’t need the federal reserve, Congress can print money.
We need to get back to Sovereignty and tell that fat bitch-ass Queen (that pasty white blood sucking vampire from hell) that she has 24 hours to get the fuck out of America. We kicked them stuck up British asses once and we can kick their asses again. This time we’re gonna kick them so hard their breath will smell like shoe polish. HALLELUJAH

The only way to rein in skyrocketing health care cost is to get that industry off the government teat. As long as there is a blank check to be had, health care cost will rise to consume that check.

There were some old guys writing in to our local newspaper. They were telling about health care costs before Medicare. Health care was not expensive before Medicare.

Jeunelle is right about the Fed. Funny money is the root of the problem there. If you do not understand that, do the research and prepare to be pissed off. Oh yeah, a 46 billion dollar “profit” made off an 800 billion dollar loan of money that was created out of nothing (that is what the Fed does) that the United States has to pay back?

As far as the prez’s job performance, he is doing everything he is supposed to do. Just remember that the corporations rule this country, just like the rest of the world and you will see that he is doing just what he is told to do by those who matter.

Is the big O worse than GWB? In some ways. When he makes his whole campaign on the CHANGE issue and nothing changes (didn’t think it would: history and all that), the disappointment factor alone is huge for most people (non-history student types.) The bottom line is that O works for the same people as GWB.

What happened to ending the current war? The prez has very little control over the economy, except for occasionally making things worse, but he could end that war. That IS within his power. Wasn’t that a promise made?

Palin incompetent? Could be. Less competent that all but one legislator in Washington? How many actually read that health care reform bill? Is she somehow less competent that that? Maybe, maybe not. The bigger question would be how honest she is. Not saying she is or isn’t, just saying that’s the important question.

Lastly, the commenters who write with the point of view that there is any difference between Reps and Dems are actually amusing to us students of history. The only difference between the “two” parties is one of rhetoric, not action. Their actions are the same when you follow the money.

And, yes, John, they all think we are stupid. And they are right a lot of the time. They do not have to fool all of us, just the majority.
