Don’t Play me Play Lotto it’s healthier :)

I was going to title this post ” Stuff bloggers don’t talk about :) . I wanted to be honest and share a little about my backround and where I’m presently at just to tell YOU that there’s many obstacles when your TRYING to be successful blogging. Maybe even in your own house you will get the least support then you see pics of your fellow bloggers chilling and living the DOT COM lifestyle. Don’t be fooled because I’m sure many people have been told by their family that blogging is a waste of time and you may even think that’s true. You will see many blogs abandoned because people quit everyday.
The whole point short and sweet is that maybe it’s not doing your readers a service to pretend that your life is all sweet sweet all the time ? I definitely have better days now then before I started blogging and my life was totally out of control so I have already benefited from blogging and would like to say to YOU  DON’T QUIT.

I see so many people working hard and doing an excellent job on their sites and I hope that whatever purposes they started their blogs comes true. I wanted to write a” What are my real goals for 2010 ? but they are some pretty Wild dreams right this second……

< DREAMS today often become reality tomorrow> but I know that I just need to keep my focus and keep reaching out to good people and let the good things that have happen keep coming and when people even try to bait me into their own negativity I will do my best to keep moving forward :)
Be honest Do you have  haters in your own HOUSE ?
Do you have factors in your life that make it way more difficult to be successful in blogging ? Today was a great day I just move on but I wanted to be honest and not try to create the front that everything is peachy keen because it’s NOT and as I go on I will remove anything and anyone in my way PERIOD :)
Thanks for stopping BY I do appreciate it now Stumble me BITCH :P LOL :) Thanks

A little side note :) Anyone can see the faults in others and it’s easy to rant about the other person but I like to think I see my part in it and am willing to make the changes necessary to succeed :)

Not haters as such John, but they all thought I was wasting my time. My wife especially used to complain about the amount of time I spent blogging. They all changed their tune though when I started to make some money. Now more complaining now ;)

Hey Sire – this one sounds awfully familiar to me!

The fact that I had a day job that made enough money to now support my family while I give this blogging thing the old college try (yes, I am a college boy ;) leads my family to thinking about ‘the good old days’ of more money than bills…

So, yah – I have extremely high hopes and goals for blogging. I enjoy it so much – and the folks I’m meeting and interacting with (like you guys) that yah – why can’t it lead to financial freedom AND personal and familial happiness?

Don’t all the self actualization gurus keep saying over and over that you have to have passion, drive, and BELIEF in yourself that you can make it.

Well, I do.

And I’m going to keep deflecting negativity and fear and doubt – and keeping drawing in hope, and success and happiness and I’m going to make this blogging thing work, dammit!

TO SUCCESS!!!

I guess I should have said I WAS a college boy ;) Got a degree in Philosophy/Business back in ‘91. Been working in Information Technology in one form or another ever since.

Started researching blogging about 6 months ago and finally launched a personal blog about 6 (?) weeks ago…And now I’ve got ideas in mind for at least two more! (Watch for Daddy Blogger coming soon!)

Don’t know the last time I had so much fun, working so hard, for no money (hahah!).

Cheers!

The people in my life don’t understand anything that I do, John. LOL. They thought that I had gone insane when I quit my job at the TV station to go work at a Mexican Restaurant, but I’m not using as much gasoline nowadays, and I’m actually losing weight because I’m on my feet and working harder.

I don’t know why so many bloggers feel the need to project the idea that they live perfect lives. Maybe they think it gives them less credibility to offer advice if they admit that they have bad days? I don’t know. Truth is, I have plenty of bad days, and sometimes bad weeks or months. If you look at the “Archives” page on my blog, you can kinda tell when those times were.

That’s not a bad thing though. If anything, it shows that you won’t let little obstacles slow you down. I’ve fallen out of contact plenty of times with my blogging colleagues and guess what? They still remember me! People need to realize that life is too serious to take serious.

I think one should not be blogging having only to make money in their mind,I know it won’t work. You need be writing about something you really like, when you first start there will ne no one to read you and you will need something to motivate you and money can’t always do that.

I love honesty in any form, the rest is just smoke and mirrors. I have a a fiction writing group and started a blog for it almost a year ago. If you read it, you can see that my life isn’t so picture perfect. I won’t go so far as to admit this on my business blog, but it’s just not that personal of a blog either.

I talked to my father the other day. Writing is hard to make a living off of right now. My blogs are not bringing in enough to pay many bills. Life’s tough (and I know that I’m not the only one (these song clips just pop in all by themselves, I swear). But when he said that I should try being a nurse or a ATC (air traffic controller) I realized that he never thought much of me as a writer. I know when I was entering college he was pushing computer science “because that’s where the money is.”

Really? How boring is all that? Do I focus more on trying to make a living off my blogs, what they sell (services and products), you betcha. I’m not writing near enough because I really need to pay the bills so I chip in where needed on the spousal unit’s job (money sooner rather than later). That’s more stress than I need right now.

Funny, I can’t remember a time where I thought writing for a living was so hard. I keep trying to tell myself that if I stick to doing what I love the money will follow, and up until a year ago it was.

I was told the other week that I can’t spend all day writing posts. Sigh. I love writing, I just I wish I wasn’t the only one who thought I can make a living at this. Just wish the money was sooner rather than later so I can relax and just focus on writing and not worry about all the other necessary distractions.

Thanks for the post, love knowing I’m not in this boat all by myself.

Cheers.
