Stockholm AP

According to a study just released  scientists discovered that the millions of humans that enjoy smoking marijuana are warming the planet  not with their carbon emissions but with their favorable attitudes and much friendlier lifestyle.

I could not start off another year without thanking the properties of cannabis. They have helped me chill out, quit drinking alcohol and stop going to jail for dumb drunk stuff so we can say it’s some powerful stuff. If I wasn’t on marijuana to deal with anxiety and depression I would be on some powerful psychotic drug some psychiatrist gave me and would be on the government pay roll  collecting a check like  social security advised me to do.

Marijuana saves society from the cost of people going to emergency rooms for crisis situations and being kept 72 hrs on some ward till the person CHILLS out.

You would think with our present economic problems the government would legalize marijuana and make BILLIONS from taxing it. They would also be able to divert resources to some beneficial causes that help people instead of wasting them on a DRUG WAR you can never win .

I’m not proud to smoke weed (LIE) but I will say that I’m not ashamed. I am ashamed that in my country which is supposed (LIE) to be a FREE country you can be arrested by VIOLENT scumbags and have your doors kicked down  because your neighbor called and said they smelled marijuana.

As someone who has been in jail many times I always woke up drunk and I NEVER did anything under the influence of marijuana to go to jail EXCEPT have a small amount on me.

Even when I had this blog and was doing very well  and  I decided to take my little family to the ocean in Sout Padre Island and enjoy some time off and instead spent 16 days in jail for 20 dollars worth of weed. The reason I stayed in there at taxpayer expense was to avoid the TRAP here in Texas called PROBATION where you become a fucking slave of some fat ass loser who wants to tell you to get your GED LOL :) when your listening to these people tell you about all the fees you have to pay and cups to piss in @ 35 a pop you think that this government and the laws are really geared to fuck the poor people and keep scumbags employed.

Do you realize how many FAT ASS ignorant jail guards rely on marijuana being illegal so they can process otherwise noncriminals through their SYSTEM ? There would be mass unemployment with these people because they don’t have much talent to do anything else except look at assholes to make sure there’s  no weed up there :)

Fuck the POLICE

Do you see marijuana becoming legal in America any time soon ?

I had an honest to god LOL at the last sentence. “they don’t have much talent to do anything else except look at assholes to make sure there’s no weed up there”. That’s too funny.

John, I am a big advocate of cannabis. I’m not a regular user or anthing, because when I use it, all I want to do is listen to music and eat. In other words, it makes me unmotivated because I have an addictive personality, but I definitely don’t think that it should be illegal.

There’s simply no good reason for it to be illegal. The technology is there for the police to keep stoned drivers off of the road, but they won’t develop it. You can’t overdose on weed, and not only has it been proven to NOT kill brain cells, but they’re finding links to support claims that it may prevent and/or cure Alzheimer and Cancer. Weed may cure fucking’ cancer!!! But the government refuses to look into this, because they’ve made way too much money by having it illegal.

I believe that the government made it illegal out of ignorance, yet had good intentions. However, they must realize that they were wrong by now, so they need to listen to the growing number of Americans who are waking up to the truth, and GROW A SET AND LEGALIZE IT.

At the very least, they need to stop throwing non violent drug offenders in jail, where they will be surrounded by REAL criminals. I have a coworker who is serving 15 days in jail for simply possession. It’s bullshit, I tell you.

I don’t smoke anymore (truckers are tested) and i can’t drink anymore (liver) so I lead a pretty sober life. I’m still having a blast but I think we should have the freedom to choose what we do if it’s not hurting anyone.

Ass deep in snow and freezing cold in Michigan I would like to thank you for a little global warming lol

If I ever get out of that truck I’m going to fly to Texas and smoke a big fat one with you. We’ll need pictures for our blogs ;)

I liked the comparison with deaths and weed, made me lol.

About the spending time in jail, that must have been tough. If you had to do that in South Africa, you would stand a good chance of being gang raped. Seems the guys here have to keep themself busy and thats close to the top of the list. I’m always worried about that, if I ever spent a day or more in jail.

Well, that’s what’s great about the United States — every state is free to enact its own laws for Medical cannabis usage.

We have 13 states (including the one I live in, California) that allow medicinal cannabis.

Instead of complaining — move out of Texas and find a compassionate state to live in!

I was a heavy weed smoker for over 10 years and I have finally given it up after a massive struggle I still get the urges to have a sneaky spliff but I choose not to, the way I have to look at it is that it saves me soooo much money and I can remeber things again lol, I will have a joint in the near future as I do not drink alcohol and lets face it you have to do something to get away from the norm !!!

I think it is hilarious to say that pot smokers are causing global warming not through smoking buds and polluting the air but through their “friendlier lifestyle.” I think you make a great point about how the system is constructed to jail nonviolent pot heads and that jail guards would be out of a job should the marijuana ban be repealed and prohibition be lifted. It is always difficult to change the “status quo” especially with regard to controlled substances. Great post.
I must admit I don’t smoke any more but I am far from anti cannabis. I smoked weed for nearly twenty years and I am glad I stopped. Having said that it is of benefit to many people for many reasons. I have seen some pretty messed up people as a result of taking prescription drugs. I have seen someone close to me in a downward spiral until they threw away the prescriptions and took up the weed.
Every story has two sides and when you look at the problems caused by alcohol you have to wonder why it is legal and cannabis is not.
Yet the answer is so simple, money (isn’t it always).
