What’s your passion ?

in Rochester, blogging, life, san antonio, san antonio blogs, social media

Anytime we get to a point where we realize some serious change in our life is in order and we don’t learn from past mistakes it’s as if we force ourselves back to familiar TERRORitory . It amazes me how many of my choices are still based on fear but with the way society and people are today it seems necessary.
Two years ago August I was fortunate enough to have my wife let me return to San Antonio, living in this city for me is like sticking a Chinamen in Belgium. I don’t want to waste time nor do I have a need to belittle Texans or Texas I need to focus on what is going to be the best place for me to be PERIOD.
Also when someone helps you out and especially when you have a child  together  I’m going to try my best  to maintain an attitude of gratitude instead of my norm Fuck you and Fuck San Antonio.
One of the few benefits of getting older is your body and mind can’t handle the burdens of hatred, anger, resentments and vengeance like it used to. Hopefully whatever happens I will be able to get into a position to really make things happen.  I have been my own worst enemy as far as my success or lack thereof in blogging and social media.
On a final note because much stress always has the money factor associated with it somewhere, today I reminded myself if your not happy when you have $1,800 dollars a month in sales you probably won’t be even if it was $18,000.  I’m going to be making some drastic changes and decisions to be happy regardless of what I make or do.
Are you money Happy based ? Do you have a passion for something you’d like to share ? Have you Lost your passion because of your environment ? Can I rent your couch ? LOL just seeing if you were paying attention ;)
I have a passion for People and no matter how many times they may hurt me or disappointment me I want to challenge myself to still try to return to a place of peace and love, Life may be shorter then you think, no man is guaranteed tomorrow. I’m a someone and I deserve to be happy or die trying.
Peace to You thanks
Congrats to the Yankees great game tonight.
As I was outside grabbing a smoke and my wife had brought in Jack in the Box and a fresh pack of smokes I said  to myself, ” John there’s millions of people on this planet that would love to have your problems……….

Keep your chin up :)

thanks

Being passionate about what you do is beyond important.. Money is important, and we can’t escape that fact, but if you depend on it to make you happy, as you point out, you never will be.. Glad you’re taking the time to look at the world through slightly different eyes dude.

John ,
I am glad you are seeking back the passion in your life . My passion is dancing , Get your mind out of the gutter , I am a Tap dancer. I started dancing this september . My husband has seen a side of me he never knew . ya see I gave up my passion to fill my dreams of being a mother . I forgot that I am allowed to return to it . 10 years later I am back . The best part is I love it the same ! Now my kids get to see me enjoy my passion insted of complaining I don’t have it in my life .

JOHN SKYs the LIMIT , Excited to watch you achieve that !

You are pretty right John. Sometimes its not the income thats the problem but how we spend it. Because usually, the more income we get, the more we spend unnecessarily.

Hey John, you are absolutely right about it when you said if you’re not happy with $1,800 in sales, you won’t be with $18,000 either. Try googling the phrase “hedonic treadmill” for more information.

Personal growth is a long, difficult, and sometimes painful path. All it takes though is identifying what you don’t like about your life, and what you want in your life, and making small changes over the course of your life (sometimes years) towards making it happen.

I can give you one tip that helped me though. Try surrounding yourself with people who have the same goals as you. I went back to vocational school for video production, and being surrounded by people who wanted to do the same thing in their lives lit a fire under my ass in monumental ways.

Hey thanks,

I exactly understand what you are talking about there with money… You should enjoy yourself even when you are making 1,800$ and find something that really makes you happy… Money can’t solve all your problems, i think that if you are not really endangered with money then you should go out and find what is it that you really like and what makes you happy…

Go take a run, go somewhere else for few days until you realize what would make you happy, but be responsible of things of course as well….

That would be the best advice that i can give right now and i think that sometimes people get lost in greed and fail to enjoy themselves and i have seen many examples of this happening…

Lately I’ve discovered that I have a passion for growing w33d, for medicinal use.

Some day I’d love to travel to Amsterdam, to learn some of their secrets. ;-)

It’s good to see that you are working on improving your attitude. Life really is all about finding where your passions lie and acting on them. That’s why so many “successful” rich people are unhappy and always unsatisfied, while so many “regular” people who are living paycheck to paycheck are often happy because they’re doing what they love. It’s really not about the income, though of course it’s always nice to have a good income. Best of luck to you! -Jason

You are right bro. You can’t let money limit your life, it comes and goes. You just have to work hard and spread love – others will reach out to you like they do on your blog. We are all in the same boat man…life long self discovery.

Right John! when it comes to passion, money is not an issue. Actually even i want to live my passion of being a writer but to be in accord with the professional, materialistic world, i have to work as a developer. Though, i still got a chance to pursue my passion side by side. I write for my company too :) But it was a tough decision to make as I had to compromise with designation and pay package as well. but I am happier now !

Hey there John. Been some time. Been reading via the Google reader as I am currently on this boring 64kbps connection that takes an eternity to load blogs lol.

Today morning gladly it successfully opened up your blog here. Waiting to get a better connection in the coming months as I moved. So if you thought I disappeared..hehe am still around buddy lol. :D

Ya coming to your post, I wanna specify on this part where you said:

“today I reminded myself if your not happy when you have $1,800 dollars a month in sales you probably won’t be even if it was $18,000″

This is well said. I think the value you get as the notes is note what matters most. The real satisfaction is that you made it. The IT is the real value. I remember when I made my first $10 online after 4+ months (lol) I was so happy. It was my first $10. Nowadays I make about $1000 but if you ask me which one I value more…it is that first $10 which mean more because even though it was small..it was something of value.

I invested that first $10 into a domain name which today brings me the Kilo.

What I wanna say is that, money in the amount does not matter or bring the difference. It is how you got it and what you make with it with matters.

So keep blogging and give us some good read of your’s John! You rock!

I think I need to do an evaluation of the things that get me motivated. More frequently than not the things usually seem to involve my family.
I guess as we become parents, our passions are suppose to be centered around our kids.

Hey I saw some of your comments over at EXXXJohn’s so I had to get over here to see who this dude is.

I’m not as extreme as y’all but I am passionate about life, love, family and blogging. San Antonio is a great place to visit, love the river walk but that’s about it.

Good luck with your endeavors dude :)

I was just thinking of the same thing last night. And honestly, I’m still undecided. I love to earn and help my family, but what I’m doing right now is totally not my passion. But hopefully, you’re not experiencing the same dilemma anymore. More power! :)

Your passion for what you do and your family shines through in all your posts, John. That’s why your blog is on its way up.

Passion is what drives us to improve ourselves. And, yes, it can be painful and hard work.

I agree with you in that I also find that the older I get, the harder it is to hold a grudge. But maybe I just forget:;)
