The Bird without a nest

bird without a nest There are many things you can learn about life if you think of a bird. Today was a cold rainy morning and I was watching this sparrow hiding under the awning of the building  thinking, ” Damn Buddy you don’t have yourself a nice nest I feel ya”. All the other birds I THOUGHT were smart and hiding out in safe cozy warm spots and my new little friend just didn’t prepare.

Well that’s not what was happening at all. After a time the bird felt safe enough to slip into the crevice above where I didn’t see. Where I’m sure she/he was taking care of business, as I looked around I noticed and heard many birds. Birds were still flying in the rain and birds were still whistling all around the place.

So for myself I was thinking I need a nest and the only way to have a nice warm cozy nest is to work for it. Birds don’t take a day off and if they travel somewhere it’s for a purpose. They do seem to work together better then we do. But I know one thing I’m not ready to crash :)

Please nominate me for corniest post of the year award Thanks LOL :)

Hey John,
This was one of those least expected post from you but it only shows your softer side which is good.

Nests are overrated…you get tied down and (if you’re cozy), you don’t wanna go anywhere else!

With a very cold winter approaching—we’ve been putting the finishing touches on those fall maintenance & energy improvement items that cost a fortune…..having a “nest” is expensive too…..

Ha ha yes a little corny! It’s amazing isn’t it how birds just keep at it.. even when they are enjoying themselves in the bird bath, at the end of the day they are just making the most of things, they need to stay clean after all!
