TAGS man not the meta

Well I wanted to tell you a quick story about a day I got a call from the world famous SEO Danny Sullivan who wasn’t to happy about what I said on Sphinn Anyway while he was trying to correct me on my behavior I was interrupting saying DUDE tell me what tags to add to my meta LOL When he said meta tags in your header are worthless.

Now I want to tell you that I noticed that post  tags are hot and responsible for much of the search traffic.

Could a tag be considered a keyword and the fact that you don’t use the zemanta plugin your not able to see just how powerful they really are.

One of the great things about having your own blog is that you can spam it When I leave a comment on this blog thanks to the comment luv plugin I’m able to add links to other post on the fly. With Zemanta everything is on the fly. Once I mention a word the tags, pics WHICH I DON’T use theirs, posts to other blogs all show up. I found that linking to other bloggers posts on zemanta a waste of time if your looking for that blogger to actually stop by and thank you it’s not going to happen.

People are in a vacuum and I quess they are to busy or important but I’m not and that’s where I will win in the end.

As you go further in blogging you have to bring even more to the table not less. I see once many bloggers get to a certain point they loose it with selling out with  to many guest posts or not doing the things that got them there in the first place.

I had experienced a situation where my blog was starting to gain some steam and I sabotaged myself and stop posting for a while. The point is this is your house. Even with this new theme I’m no where near where I want this site to be. I always thought the word POT had a bad impact on this blog’s success and was just thinking would I sell out myself. After many posts about not selling out what if I got a call tomorrow and they said we will give you 10 thousand dollars for your domain.

Well 10′gs is alot of money but I would like to think I’d say no but who can say ?

When I had a bunch of blogs I had to decide which one I was going to try to drive to the TOP I sometimes think I should of went with bloganese.com

Anyway what is your take on your blog does it have what it takes to go to the TOP ?

If so what is the blog about and why do you think your going to make it ?

BUT more importantly mention what is holding you back Feedback sometimes helps
