I also consider blogroll as a way to thank the people. Glad to know that you dont care about PR much. I usually reject the request if the blogger is new as I doubt that they might stop blogging (but this is not the case always).

I don’t have a blogroll….yet? I’m still early in my “formative year” of making new friends and learning what’s what. I was glad to see this post though, because I’ve been curious about blogrolls and whether I would keep mine maintained.

I check out blogrolls on blogs I like just like the commenters. Following those links is the way I found most of my online friends. It stands to reason if I like a blog or blogger there’s a good chance I’m going to like those that they freely link to.

My blogroll got so long I had to give it a special page. I have removed a couple people from there too. No one goes on there that I don’t consider a friend and I visit their site. It’s funny you mentioned celebrity bloggers because that’s one of my next post topics.

I think my Blogroll has lost it’s way over the last few months, I must update it, I never really consider doing much with the blogroll…

Time is spent posting on my blog, replying to comments, reading and commenting on other blogs that I seem to forget about the humble little blogroll, but now more, I shall try to remember to keep it updated.

Now what was I going to do, something about bog roll …..

I’m in the same boat as Blaine. But a little different because I would rather link to sites that are like mine. So if my readers were to click the blog roll link they would find more relative and interesting topics.

Right now my blogroll at seomkt is stuffed like a baked potato and is all over the place.

Actually my blog roll is exactly what Blaine thinks it should be lol friends and other bloggers. A few are to people that helped me out supported my cause hardcore.

I’ve never really thought about blogrolls that much and even less about having one on my blog. I do think a great blogroll would be full of links to people you actually know, people you respect and to your friends.

It would be a waste just to link to blogs like johnchow or problogger in my view, not because it’s wrong but because it doesn’t benefit anybody, new bloggers won’t get found that way, they don’t need more PR, they won’t thank you but your friends might if you link to them.

Im definitely going to think about having a blogroll, a valuable one.
