Topic analysis in terms of google page rank

wordpress

I wanted to share some simple observations of why and how google assesses page rank to certain pages and none to others. In my observations the topic of the post and the credence that google grants said topic is the primary weight  in my opinion.

The Googlebot has obviously been trained to not only cater to certain safe topics but if you match that in referencing sites in your post  that have massive links it’s a no brainer that page will draw page rank .

thumbsup

Some topics that I have concluded google loves in no particular order is of course  Google itself NO DOUBT as they made my GoogleBot Who’s your Daddy post a Pr 5.

Topics in my opinion that google LOVES -php, design, art, writing, wordpress, google search, so you can think of some that follow along the pattern. Topics that have massive links to them basically.

I recently opened my comments back up because no doubt the number of balanced links in the post itself and the massive amount of do follow links that I follow in the comments section clarifies that Google does also in fact love do follow and I’m glad because I do also .

Which is our ultimate  goal to have pages with good page rank and weighed to always be on the first page and ideally in the number one spot. I took a day off from blogging and was happy to see what was once my goal hustling ,  now  comes automatically from search engines.

SO there are traffic   benefits of having  a common interest  page like that San Antonio heat record post I did recently and was specifically to target the local area where I live that YES this Blog exist :)

It’s nice to see your site often ranks  above HIGH ranking main stream media sites.

Also I know from my own experience that when you look at your results for search and traffic you may be falsely seeing yourself as number one every since they fucked up search results. What I do is if I really care about a certain keyword I will check it on at least 3 different browsers.

Those are often  false results and I know using plugins like wassup give false recordings that count BOTS and spiders as visitors. It makes you feel good to see you had 1,500 visits but sadly that may of only been a 100 real people. So I like to cross reference my visitors.

Which brings the question. What’s better more visitors or better ones.

Would I rather a 1000 people fly by this blog a day or 100 that may take a peek and 10 -20 that comment ?

Just for your information that 45,102 on Alexa confuses me because this site daily real visitors are between 100- 300 uniques and I don’t care about bots. But as you can see in my sidebar those badges are what I use to keep an easy eye on what’s happening or often NOT  happening :)

So remember google loves Key West, php,  wordpress,  blogcatalog and you can go and comment on this post where I wrote about how they dogged bloggers it’s a PR3 do follow so check it out.

Peace :)

Are you in Business and want to list your site or a social media junkie that likes checking out unique new cutting edge sites check this one out. As a blogger you can add YOU and your site.

Want  to take a peek at the next world wide Blogging phenom ?

I was really taking a close look at George’s site and the  excellent work he has done. As a bonus George is cool enough to let you add pixels to his million pixel page for FREE. If your really bored and want to see mine on there  look for the pot leaf. That’s some real skills  there and I was in awe thinking about the site.

Start out at the pixels page BUT make sure you edit the url to see the whole awesome site.
Peace.

The TOPIC is the KEY remember that :)

Google is such a weird beast isn’t it, but your points about and insight into it are well taken. If anyone can bend the google bot to his will, I expect you might.

Do I work for Google or does Google work for me ?
I think I wrote a post titled that about a year ago.
This is all fun and yes Google is free from anyone truly figuring it out.
But Some things that I know about the googlebot as she comes here almost
instantly after I post is she loves to be constantly feed.
She doesn’t mind do follow links other wise mine and most of my friends
sites would be PR0 right now. Also a big missing part is the site’s header
another spot where you can tell her exactly what to do :)
anyway Beats Prison LOL :)
thanks Buddy

John,

Thanks for that link love. You amaze me my friend trying to capitalize on the keyword Googlebot. It’s working for you as that post page is a PR5!

The problem with Google is you may be on top one day, and deindexed the next for what ever reason. When it does occur that you are on top of the SERPS..enjoy and take advantage of the traffic, but don’t forget your real audience..Perhaps then some of that traffic will stick around and become return visitors or even a friend.

You just plan on owning up on the Googlebot huh big man? I can always tell when you switch gears from toying with a keyword to just attacking it. The transition is fast my man.

I think you see Google giving love to PHP, WP, art and the like simply because there’s more of those than anything else (except maybe “make money” sites), but they’re also willing to link to other sites (unlike most “make money” sites).

I’m not sure if your theory about Googlebots liking Google is entirely accurate. I’ve done a fair few posts that were Google related and not one ever got to PR0! (man, that’s a funny 0 )

Anyway, I was starting to get really depressed and was about to come over here to berate you for making me depressed when I actually found a post, not Google related that was a PR3.

Then I started to thinking, most of my posts on Google were actually pretty negative, so do you think the bots are smart enough to pick up on that? :D

Page Rank doesn’t mean shiznit, as long as your KW are in the top 5 SERP. I’ve been concentrating on the organic Search Results, and focusing less on PR. I know that its different for Blogs, as the ad rates that one charges can be determined by PR concerns.

I really do not look at PR. Keywords, and your rankings matter. If you target the right keywords, and rank high on a SE like G00G..its all good. PR might only come into play when you are selling links, but you want to rank high first.

I generally try not to focus too too much on what works for Google – since they change their algos so often – rather focus on what works for people.. That’s Google’s ultimate goal too, so I reckon if our goals intertwine I might stay on the winning side :)

I also noticed that Google love the unique contents a lot. On my blog most pages are pr 1 or dunno what. But the ones with pr 4 and 3 are mostly one which are among searched with very few returned results.

John, you make me laugh sometimes at your posts. I’m sure many would understand me when I say it.

Google can mess with peoples mind when you talk about what they want or like. You need to try and make your content as unique as possible and try and find keywords not often used to increase your standings.

BTW, thanks for the mention to my free pixel site. I hope not all your readers are that bored, lol. I saw your image and it looks fine to me. Thanks for stopping by.

Google just announced the new “Caffeine” update, their Beta link here:

http://www2.sandbox.google.com

this will be going “Live” in a few weeks, once Beta testing is complete.

I’m seeing significant improvement, moving up 4 slots in SERP for my top level KW.
