The link rel = canonical the most powerful tag by far

One of the things I have always believed about blogging is that if you know something that is helpful to other bloggers you should share it . Blogging to me is not all about me and what is happening with me it’s really about you . So I was THINKING that this tag is bona fide.  I don’t want to go into who I’m relying on because they are probably the most knowledgeable in seo in the whole industry period. He is also friends with Matt Cutts so we will just leave it at that. Think of your site right now as having  3- 4 arms.  Now that would be pretty freaky and Google just indexes and moves  right along. So we need to maximize the impact of googlebots results. I will tell you after I added this tag to my header I immediately saw a BIG increase in search traffic for TAGS I keep a close eye on who, what and from where every visitor comes to this blog. I also visit most back and I visit every link that is left in the do follow  comment section So I was surprised when I saw the increase not only with Google search but the Bing has been bonging Now the tag let’s the search engines know that even though when I see up my domain I didn’t have a clue but we know now. So instead of having http://www.potpolitics.com and potpolitics.com and all the other arms of this domain it says hey google just use http://potpolitics.com. Obviously your going to go with the strongest aspect of your structure. Once they spider your site they will reindex your domain which is going to increase the power of your site. link rel = canonical so you can look at my page source and see how I have mine set up

Duplicate content is no longer the penalty issue it used to be BUT this also
eliminates that issue for your domain. So any blogging tip where you can just
copy and paste one line that has this effect is a no brainer and MUST DO  

<link rel="canonical" href="http://potpolitics.com/" /> add your domain 
add to header like where I have it and wait for the BOT. I got this site now where
almost instantly it gets indexed.
