Hey John, Im from Adelaide in Australia and we use Celsius so I had to check exactly how hot 100F was - its a whopping 37C - thats damn hot! How long does this typically last for? 36 days seems a looong looong time to be dealing with that temperature!

John we've had the worst summer so far here in Northern Canada it's just been rain rain and more rain. I would take record breaking heat over rainy days anytime

It's almost depressing!

I also seen up north north the weather is nicer... ++ 30 etc..

Yes, it has indeed been a mild summer here in PA. My pool has not even warmed up to 80 degrees...when ever it gets near 80, it seems like we get a big rain storm that dumps a load of water in..I have only had to run the hose into it maybe twice this year. So very wet and cool this summer. Hope it cools off in Texas so you get some outdoor time John.

Here in Sacramento, the record stands at 7 consecutive days of 100 degrees or more. The good news is, when our area gets hot the humidity is low, which makes it less uncomfortable.

The Gulf coastal air tends to feel "hotter" because of the high humidity. By way of example, the air in Death Valley (120 degrees) is approximately the same Comfort Level as 100 degrees in Texas!!!
