Basic Keyword Optimization
Well we read so much about seo, key words, page rank I was thinking I don’t really have any keywords that I target because I’m not selling anything. Yesterday I had a great conversation with a attorney friend of mine. I told him that I recently read list of 50 dollars keywords. So if you were just writing so certain adsense ads showed up I think that would be pretty easy. No doubt after a period of time Google just sucks it up. I guess they trust you after a certain amount of time.I do know that Google does like this blog and I used to chase the keyword DO FOLLOW but got bored with that and the results weren’t what I was hoping.
Keyword Optimizing your site <h2
Bidding on certain keywords and running adword campaigns is something I do once in a while when I come across a really hot offer from one of my affiliate sites. Many times it’s just a hunch and they do produce results sometimes I think it’s just luck more then actual talent. I do know they are plenty of lame people making tons of money in what I’m doing. Money will come if you don’t quit.
What Keywords Optimizing that you have done ? Do you take all this to the next level and drive yourself crazy with the hunt for the almighty keyword or are you like me and couldn’t give a rats ass
Also this has to be the chessiest post I ever wrote in 2 minutes. The reason is to show how your supposed to write a post with the keyword magically showing up in each paragraph a certain sized text and added a certain amount. Also I should of linked to previous post both on this site and others as references as a result of your research etc. Well I like to link to other bloggers sites but I’m still working on the research part.
The point is you can write generic post and watch your adsense account all day. Or you can write to people it’s up to you. I guess the best bet is to kind of mix it up a little. I’m done worrying about what Google wants or doesn’t want me to do that’s for sure. I should of slipped some of those 50 dollar keywords in for good measure.
Thanks for stopping BY
Don’t count out Google Image search I took a pic at the Beach one time in a post called Blogging at the Beach that picture has sent me PLENTY of visitors FREE.

I usually just write and don’t worry about keywords. I did, however, write one blog post optimized for a specific keyphrase and I am currently sitting at #1 on google for that phrase.
“Gaming the system” type of SEO is getting harder and harder. It’s way too much trouble for me. But, google loves me anyway so I don’t worry about it.

I think your primary focus should always be content and writing for the peeps, but given that you are writing about a subject that you and hopefully your readers will enjoy or find valuable, it doesn’t hurt to keep some sense of keywords in mind.
Those coming across your site during the course of an organic search deserve to be as enlightened as your regulars too (well, maybe not AS enlightened) so figure out how your post sets up for people interested in searching within the context of certain keywords and weave them in. I’m not saying you should be crazy about it, but you should be sensible and optimize for keywords which extend the reach of your message.
One thing I can say for certain about you John is that your message deserves to be spread far and wide and your content rocks so why not optimize your keywords just a touch.

John,
You keyword Pot also rocks, but dofollow is much better as you are the dofollow King.

I’ve never been good about keywords myself. Although, occassionally I will look at those “spy” watching analatics and see what other people think the keywords are.
I used to try to take advantage of that – for instance, if I saw someone searched for a keyword phrase “how do goats reproduce?” then i would rush off an write another post about goats and bonus if they are reproducing. But, then I would forget – hey! They already found my blog from that keyword phrase anyway – why do i have to do more stuff? // and, then I stopped looking.

Keyword research is one of my favorite tasks..its always cool to find a great niche keyword that gets a ton of traffic but little competition.
I did one post on the top keywords for 2007..two of the top phrases were for the kid game sites “Club Penguin” and “Webkins”, which my daughter has done at one time or another. Sadly I get a ton of traffic for that post. I did sign up for an affiliate program for “Club Penquin” memberships, but no coin yet.

I do some keyword optimization but not with Adwords. I have been trying to get the top spot now for about 5 months for organic traffic but I’m still 3rd or 4th it’s silly!
I know all about Google images! I own a world of war craft blog and its getting 30 – 40 hits a day all from Google Images!

I usually just write to write and don’t really sell anything on my blog, I don’t have a single add so it’s more like I don’t sell anything on my blog.
However I do write articles that reference my Limousine Business and my Indoor Tanning Company, when I write those articles I spend more time focusing on the content and include the keywords that are best for getting targeted traffic. I wreck shop when I do this

Well, for someone who make a living out of Google Adsense (including yours truly), keyword research is part and parcel of the business.
Just like everyone else, when I write, I don’t write for keyword(s). It’s only when it’s done, I’ll put in the relevant keyword(s) to where they should be. So, keyword optimization comes after and before.

Oops, there is a typo, I was meaning to say,

Hi John,
I think that’s a good hint – to write a “generic” post and shift the focus of keywords and watch the adsense account. I’ll try this hint.

I don’t do the ad-sense thing but I do have all of my content optimized for keywords though. I am in a local market so doing it this way doesn’t exactly look very attractive on the page but over the years I do feel it has helped with my rankings for the keywords.
I have not tried the Google images technique that some of you are referring to but it sounds like it does make a lot of sense, although I’ll have to figure out a way to make it apply to the local market that I’m going after.
Good food for thought though!
I’d better demonstrate some keyword optimizing of my own, and drop an appropriate link to my site:
