Marijuana saves America

in America, san antonio

weed

Disclaimer : I have been smoking marijuana since I was 12. I never been to the Doctor, missed work, or any other negative affects other then being the victim of lame local laws that make simple possession a crime. I don’t sell or grow marijuana why bother it’s is all over the place where I live in San Antonio :)

In America it is bigger than corn and wheat combined with a value of about $36 billion per year; and if marijuana wholesale is legalized, not just for medical purposes, the US would make between $14 and $40 billion from the drug.

The marijuana legalization debate is once again heating up in the media. I actually received  a text msg yesterday from a friend that said : Vote to legalize marijuana, Obama will consider with 1 million votes call 973-409-3274 from CNN. <call and VOTE :) now

The news also reported that 13 billion would be saved a year not prosecuting people for marijuana crimes. An additional 7 billion would be gained from tax revenues.

So why all the fuss ? Mr Obama is a smart man I bet marijuana is legal by the end of this year.

I was thinking 18 should be the legal age, if your old enough to carry a gun in war your old enough to make an adult choice.

Sorry to burst your bubble John, but the Obama administration has NO PLANS to change Federal laws.

However, unlike the previous Clinton admin, Obama’s told the Federal goons to lay off the state medical dispensaries where Medical Cannabis laws have been enacted (about a dozen states, to my knowledge).

Obama’s basically saying: if you love pot, MOVE TO ONE OF THE MEDICAL STATES.

I waffle about legalization…I am all for decriminalization.
I myself don’t smoke and have not for years…maybe if I wouldn’t get so paranoid..can they genetically engineer it so that you don’t get paranoid?

Ok John, you gotta move to Cali, did you know you can even go to pot growers school, learn how to cultivate in a matter of a few months and make an income that easily earns you 6 figures? Saw that on MSNBC the other night!

I think that whether they legalize it or not, the people who really want to use it will. It’ll be more difficult than if they could just buy it behind the counter at a gas station like a pack of cigarettes, but they’ll still do it. I don’t think a lot of people even consider it a bad thing… I always assumed since it is still not legal, people in casual situations wouldn’t even mention it, but I hear people say they smoke in professional, business offices, and even see people hanging out in public parks smoking. The fact that its not legal doesn’t seem to hold many people back anymore.

On the basis of the aforementioned reasons, I say legalize, legalize, legalize.

As long as the marijuana is not misuse to escape or avoid life issues, it’s ok for it to be legalized. It’s the human itself that causing the damage or the problems and not the items. Knife can be legally bought from many places but they are not always used for cooking or camping. It’s the mindset, attitude and the inner self that needed to be taken care of.
