Nicest city in America

keywestKey West ?

The other day I added a post to this blog and the title was “TOP 5 most dangerous cities in America”. To be honest I wasn’t happy I had  hundreds of unique visitors that sadly were searching for keywords like that. So I wanted to do an experiment and see if I could find the nicest city in America.

Key West Florida to me is the nicest city in America. I had the pleasure of living there many times over the years and I know many people there. If your lucky enough to be considered a local and get a chance to meet the wide variety of people that call Key West home you will know I’m right.

Key West has no major crime. A murder happens VERY very rarely and the place is the only place  I would always feel safe no matter what time at night. I was lucky to have many friends there and many who stuck by me through ups and downs.

So where is the nicest city ? Please tell me I may even go visit and move there. I’m serious

San Antonio: to me the people are “friendly” but their level of friendship lacks any real depth. Or as we say in Brooklyn they don’t know shit about being a real friend. Ouch :) my bad :)

Please tell me the city you think is the nicest in America and WHY ? Thanks

Also I had this crazy idea to rent this nice size house near by for 700 a month here in San Antonio and make it a place for bloggers to visit. 100 a week and we blog 24/7 visit some near by places. Put all the money back into the house it’s not for profit. I’m not a BIG fan of San Antonio but it’s cheap and about a week would be perfect. What do you think about that ? No I’m not trying to start a reality show with Blogger drama :)  Just cool people dedicated to blogging networking for a week.

So what do you have to say about that ?

Thanks for stopping BY

I think the nicest place to live is Rochester, NY .. It may not be the safest place to live or have the most exciting things to do.. but it is where I call home and where I will always call home.. There are days where I just want to run as far away from here as possible .. but is that Rochester or is it whats going on with me? You can move anywhere you want to but does it change whats going on it your head. It is all the way you look at it. I don’t blog so I wouldn’t be interested in coming to San Antonio to stay at the house but if you do move to Key West and get a little pool house or something ..call me ;)

New York anyone? I agree with many of these and have visited most of them.

I would say “any state with a Medical Cannabis law” (12 states) — meaning that city would have to be in one of those states.

Climate, Traffic, and Pollution has a lot to do with how the citizens feel. Too smoggy? Too much traffic? Not a nice place to live!

I would say there are quite a few charming small towns in California but the folks don’t want their secret getting out.

We rural California citizens want to see the population remain in the big cities……..keeping our unspoiled wilderness to ourselves!

I love living in Charleston, South Carolina which is rightly known for its great food, mild winters, laid-back lifestyle, and amazing food (pulled pork BBQ, soft shell crabs, fresh, local shrimp, etc.).

The trees are so beautiful; a mix of ancient live oaks draped in Spanish moss and palm trees! Also, if you love boating, beaches, and living near the water this area is heaven!

My favorite city in the whole world… ( have visited a few overseas ) is St Augustine, Florida. It has charm and presence and history. It is a beautiful quiet place. Just of the beaten path of the I 95 corridor in northern Florida ~ close enough to Jacksonville to get the big city cravings out of the way and only about 2 hours from Orlando. If I could this is where I would live.

I usually vote Scottsdale as a nice place to be, until the summer months arrive and the temp stays above 100 pretty much all day long. But there is so much to do around here, and it’s within weekend day trips of Vegas, San Diego, and other nice places to visit.

On another note, can you imagine a blogger reality show? 7 blogging strangers trapped in a house with only one computer… :)

I’d say the nicest city in America is going to be Sacramento CA, if the governor of California gets his wish;

On Tuesday May 5, 2009, Arnold Schwartzenegger proposed that Californa lawmakers open discussion about legalizing cannabis for all persons over 18 years of age. The substance would be taxed like alcohol but at a much higher rate of $50 per ounce weight. This proposal has been advanced because CA is experiencing huge budget deficits combined with prison overcrowding. Legalizing w33d would solve two problems with one multi-billion dollar revenue-raising solution that would save taxpayers money from not having to build new prisons and prison hospitals!
