Advanced Blogging

Hanging in the park
If you have been blogging for at least one year then this post is for you.  I have been writing about some political issues and now that I got my public service post in :) I wanted to get right back to what I love, blogging and reaching out to bloggers all over the world.
So what does a blogger do when they hit  that wall and wonders where and what to do next ?

I have seen all to many people quit. As your skills expand you MUST look for harder challenges or you will fade away.
I never knock wordpress but I was actually thinking about abandoning this database and maybe start over. The ONLY thing stopping me is all the awesome comments that have been left on this blog by many cool people. I do appreciate that very much. I feel bad when I visit a awesome blog and see no comments. It’s a honor not to be taken for granted.
After a year of 303 post and tons of links, themes,  plugins, videos,  pics, comments etc the backend of wordpress gets rather buggy. Having your blog on 1and1 doesn’t help. The only reason I’m still with them is I don’t pay for any of my hosting or domains. That takes a while but it’s true. Other wise I would Hasta la vista Baby.
So what do we do once we passed our goals ? When we realize money isn’t everything ? but it sure does HELP LOL :)

Today I was thinking. Blogging is like sitting with someone on a park bench and having a chat. You may not know the person per se but you have an exchange on some level. Hopefully it’s a positive one.

Speaking of positive I have been watching my HITS and where they come from and sadly that TOP 5 Most dangerous cities post  was like hitting a home run. If your not using the feedjit widget and clicking back to visitors and mousing over google.com so you can see search results your cheating yourself out of some good information :)

Be scared now. I have  known for along time VIDEO and content will be KING. I know that we can sabotage ourselves as far as ” success” but we have to meet the challenges. I know I can do a half way decent show  on Ustream a few nights a week and let my other friends do a few nights, so why don’t I do it ?

I know I can MODIFY my people skills and avoid missing MANY opportunities so why don’t I ?

I mention these things so YOU can ask YOURSELF are YOU the biggest factor holding you back? If you look at the competition it’s EASY to see it doesn’t take much to be the TOP DOG so why aren’t YOU ?  That is the million dollar question LITERALLY.

I have to admit I was a little pissed at google for making this blog a PR3 but I will say I have noticed a trade off  I guess, this blog is popping up all over the search engines for all kinds of cool keywords so I’m trying to look at the glass as half full. I  know it would be to this blog’s  page rank benefit to remove the do follow comments BUT I will never do that.

I can write all about the MANY things that bloggers with experience can do to make KILLER money but the point isn’t the specific JOB but are you holding yourself back and why ?
I like this girl for some crazy reason maybe it’s her awesome attitude ? If I had that attitude I would surely be KING :)

Another great article…there are so many resources out there and sometimes it seems like we are just scraping the surface. Thanks for keeping the Do Follow……you’ll get your PR back with the next update (I know my site will bounce back to PR 4).

Too bad you can’t export your comments and move them elsewhere, like if you wanted to migrate to another platform. Although, after having worked on Livejournal, Blogger, Xanga, Blogging.Net, and some others, I would have to say Wordpress is definitely the best to work with in terms of customizing and having lots of support and resources.

I was wondering if you wouldn’t care to expand just a bit what you meant here. I felt I was on the verge of following, got excited, only to be still wondering… so what was he saying?
