The real deal in Blogging

Did you ever ask yourself what am I doing wrong ? You may visit well known blogs and be impressed even jealous. Well let me tell you a little secret. Whatever your goals are in blogging and the internet YOU CAN DO.

I USED to be fascinated with the phenomenon of fame and riches. Well here’s the facts.

NONE of those people are any better or worse then YOU.

ALL of those people didn’t QUIT. 100% of well known bloggers have been blogging for years. I don’t think it’s fair to put pressure on yourself to try to match or BEAT their success in record time.

I had originally intended to keep pushing this blog’s stats. Well when you get to 100k Alexa and get your page rank it’s never enough. {MOST}People in social networking don’t know jack about being SOCIAL. They’re like crack heads looking for the next HIT and buying into all that guru crap. Look you want to make 5000 a month ?

I went months blogging with my wife buying my smokes and paying my tab. I have paid her back plenty and that felt GREAT but personally money is just a tool, a means to an end. Today I checked the mail and there was a check in their for 489 dollars my first thought was that’s it .I thought damn if it was 4890 I’d be happy, no I wouldn’t because last month the morning of the 16th when I looked at my bank statement and 8000 was added overnight I was like cool. Each of us need to find OUR answer. The blending of doing whatever is going to make you Happy and ideally what will help others. I don’t want to be like 90% of the bloggers out there that now have a little fame and don’t answer their emails or blow people off cause I”M ALL THAT :) No I want to be ME that’s what is so sweet about watching all these great things finally happen you can HELP other people. I proved my simplistic theory

DO Good Get Good.

I noticed many bloggers asking where did all the bloggers GO? Things have been slow and I thought my new laptop would inspire me to whip out some PHP projects I had been working on but NO. I found I just needed a brake. I wanted some time to think about just what is going on. Well vacations OVER. I was thinking about how we can let other people distract us and we worry about what they think etc.

I like to write about different topics all the time and don’t because I’m going to offend this one or whatever. I don’t want to get cold blooded but it’s time to look out for good people and start smoking some of these lame ass bitches. Please take a moment to tell me about YOU, your blog ,what your goals are and I will get in touch with you if  I feel it’s in our best interest Thanks.

And yes I will go to your blog and stumble YOU :)

Thanks John! You are the greatest when it comes to helping out other bloggers, with very little if any compensation for yourself.

Thank-you for stumbling some of my posts and stopping by now and again. You are Awesome!

Hi John,
I thought I’d come by and say hello on your blog after your kind words on mine :)

I agree with you on this post: blogging is not about being number one or making a certain amount of money. You have to love what you do for it to stay interesting and ultimately be rewarding (financially or otherwise).

This is a great post and all though I have not been a daily reader for very long this post is my favorite yet. Blogging is one of those things for me that I do for numerous reasons, not one of those reasons is for money. Over the past 8 years I ran some of the most popular sites on the internet, I sold my companies in April and since than this Blogging thing has become more of a daily outlet and addiction than I ever would have thought.
