For the next 6 days I will be living on the streets of San Antonio and will spend a few nights at some local shelters.I will be approaching local politicians as a homeless person. And I don’t want to say much right now.It felt really good to see that some good friends were wondering where I was.

This is to do an expose on the State of Texas and just how horrible their social services are.The city of San Antonio is by far the worse city I have ever seen as far as what they do for the many  1000’s of people that live on the streets downtown.Last night I was thrown in jail for no reason. When I went in front of the judge he said I don’t even know why your here I said either do I and was immediately released.

This is what they have to offer here a jail cell.Well the gig is up these people will have plenty of answering to do.I hope they have their numbers correct.

I will also be looking for places that are doing things to help.I’m not sure there are many but we will see.It will be 97* degress here in San Antonio today. It is very dangerous out there.Where I slept the first night everyone was on crack and they all had weapons, box cutters and a man was recently killed right there. No one heard about that because no one cares. He had his juggler slit and they caught the person who did it.

So here we go I can post from the goodwill they have free internet access but today I’m going to approach them as a homeless man and we’ll see what they have to say with that big fancy building.Tonight I may stay at the local Salvation Army and see what that is like.

So why am I doing this? Well I have lived in many places in this great country and because of my own doing I have experienced being homeless. The main reason is because it is BEYOND unbelievable.Do I think the government owes these people,NO.But when you have trillions for bombs it’s time to take care of your own people. These are Americans and they are lost. Many of the men I have already met could with some treatment have normal lives the whole point is that is probably not going to happen if they stay here in San Antonio. And yes I do believe each person has to take responsibility for their own life. You can not fix what you don’t recognize.

I don’t want to hurt the city and their little tourist racket but I want to help the city and have them take responsibility. My ultimately goal is to use the proceeds from another blog I have called sanantonioriverwalknews.com and rent a small house and have 3-4 men stay there for up to 90 days. That is why I’m doing this and another project I need to work on.So if your the spiritual type please pray for my safety Thanks

This is actually in preparation also for my blogging across america which I will do in early September.

Well, where do I even begin? This is definitely the most profound blog I’ve visited today. I couldn’t believe what I was reading… it takes so much to do what you’re doing and I respect, even, the reason why you’re doing it. When I walk or drive by a homeless person I always think where did it all go wrong? I wonder where is this person’s mom and what she must be feeling… and you’re right, it’s totally unbelievable when living in this great America that this demographic exists in such a great number. Okay, I’ll stop before I write a book… but, I am a spiritual person and I pray for your safety and courage as you journey into this experience.
